Obit for James ( Jimmie) Atkinson From the Elma Chronicle: The community in general was shocked and grieved to learn of the sudden death of a little son of Mr. Atkinson. The child was sick only a few days, and it was thought best by the attending physician in attendance to be kept entirely quite, consequently the parents were alone. Tis hard enough to bear at any time, but the circumstances surrounding this case makes it doubly hard. They have the sincere sympathy of the entire community. DIED-- June 10,1902, of Diptheria, James, son of C.W. and Annie Atkinson, aged nearly 9 years. The deceased was born in Menominee, Wisconsin and came to Washington with his parents, but a short time ago. The exercises at the grave were conducted by Rev. J.M. Weaver, in the Odd fellows Cemetery. The bereaved parents have the sympathies of the entire community.
