Obit for Russell G. Sisco Russell G. Sisco, 76, a longtime Hoquiam area resident, died on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was born on Aug. 17, 1930, in Alton, Mo., to Alex G. and Minerva (Boze) Sisco. He was raised and attended school in Missouri. When he was 19 years of age he came to Hoquiam and had since resided here. Russell was married to Delores A. Jones on Dec. 21, 1951, in Hoquiam. He served with the United States Army from Jan. 22, 1952, until Jan. 21, 1954, and he had served in Germany and other European areas. Following his military discharge he returned to Hoquiam. For several years he worked at the Grays Harbor Veneer Plant and Harbor Plywood. He then was employed as a truck driver for Ethel Smith at Graysport Transfer and then A. A. Star Transfer. From about 1960 through 1970, he worked for Sears in Aberdeen. In the late 80s and early 90s he had been employed at Arrow Cab, retiring from there at the age of 62. He and his family traveled to Missouri on numerous occasions. Russell enjoyed camping, fishing and going to the area beaches to dig clams. Russell is survived by his wife, Delores of the family home in Hoquiam; two sons, Wayne Sisco of Hoquiam and Larry Sisco of Canistota, S.D.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
