George, Born 6 Jan. 1849, Canadigua, New York. Died: about 22 Nov. 1931 Hoquiam, Gray Harbor Co., Washington. Was 83 years old. Buried in Center Point Cem, Center Point, Linn County, Iowa. Married a Hattie Romig, of Center Point, Iowa. Had the following children: George RANIES, Robert C. RANIES, Ella RAINES, Ruth RANIES and John RAINES, At the time of his death he was living with his daughter Ruth Stevens of Hoquiam, Washington, who was unable to attend her fathers funeral in Center Point, Iowa. George Raines, had two sisters Mrs Alice Davies of Iowa City, Iowa; Mrs Mary Vogle of Toledo, Ohio, one brother Robert Raines of Independence, Iowa. At time of his death, his children were living in: George Raines, Sioux Falls, S.D.; Robert Raines, Mitchell, S.D.; Ella Madden, Canton, S.D.; Vernon Raines, Waterloo, Iowa,; Alice Davies, Iowa City, Iowa; Robert Raines, Independence Iowa.

Allen Stuart (Stewart) REED, b.11 Feb 1861, Calhoun Co., WV, d. 21 Apr 1938 WA, m.[1] Elizabeth PARSONS, WV, m.[2] Ida E. SCHOOLCRAFT, WV. Mary J. REED b. 1847, William REED b. 1850, George M. REED b. 1857. M.[3] Isabella PRITT, WV, divorced Elizabeth Daisy REED b. Aug 1883 m.[4] Gilla F. SCHOOLCRAFT, WV 17 Apr 1885 Allen Stewart REED Jr b. Aug 1990 m.[5] Julia L. 'DELL m.[6] Enid SCOTCH In 1884, Allen gave his daughter Elizabeth Daisy REED (my great-grandmother) to William & Charlotte Cottrell for adoption. In 1896, Allen moved to Washington State where he reportedly remarried and became rich in the timber business. This information is from a handwritten history by Elizabeth written about 3 years before her death.

ROBERTS:
Sons of Jacob ROBERTS: Leander "Lee", Arizona "Ari", John "Jack", Charlie ROBERTS all lived in Grays Harbor County. Were loggers from about 1915 thru 1940's.

ROE:
Looking for a Frank Roe or family members. Frank Roe, b. February 10, 1903, d May 1983 in Aberdeen, Wa. Frank lived in the Aberdeen area for quite some time. I know of only one brother at this time, George Howard Roe, b 1897 in South Dakota, he too lived in the Aberdeen area for a while then moved to the Longview, Wa. area. Parents names Charles Roe b. in New York, and Emma b. Pennsylvania.
