Much Beloved Woman Dead.

Special Dispatch.

DES MOINES, Friday, June 8--In the death of Mrs. Berto, wife of J. H. Berto, Des Moines has lost one of its best known citizens.

Mrs. Berto was born in Oswego, N.Y., November 10, 1827, and has lived in Washington since the early fifties, most of her time being spent in Des Moines

Besides her husband, Mrs. Berto leaves four daughters, three of whom live in Des Moines and one in Dakota. All who knew Mrs. Berto testify to her gracious manner and charming personality.

"To live in hearts we leave behind, Is not to die."

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Donald Ross of Seattle, and the remains laid away in the Odd Fellows' Cemetery at Kent.
