Jay Decker

Elks services for Jay Decker, 81, of 4509 Cascadia Avenue, a retired Seattle policeman, will be held at 1:30 o’clock tomorrow in the Columbia Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.

Mr. Decker died Wednesday of a heart attack. He was a patrolman with the Seattle Police Department from 1917 until 1935. He was born in Berlin, Wisconsin. He came here in 1896 from Olympia.

Mr. Decker was a member of Seattle Elks Lodge No. 92 and the Seattle Police Relief Association.

Surviving are his wife, Mary E.; two daughters, Mrs. A. Lee Schmidt, Seattle and Mrs. Robert A. Akerman [sic], Pacific and seven grandchildren.
