John W. Roberts Taken By Death
Funeral services for John W. Roberts, retired divisional Superintendent of the Northern Pacific Railroad, will be held at 1 o’clock Saturday at the Butterworth Funeral Home. The Very Rev. Dr. John D. McLauchlan will officiate.
Mr. Roberts died Tuesday in a hospital.
Born in Wales, Mr. Roberts came to the United States 60 years ago and to Seattle three years later. His home was at 349 16th Avenue North.
He had been associated with the Northern Pacific Railroad for 42 years before his retirement.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Vera Dean of Seattle; three sons, Owen W. and Reece G. Roberts of Seattle and John O. Roberts, Norfolk, Virginia and ten grandchildren.
