Mrs. A.H. Gould Taken by Death

Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Gould, 85 years old, 420 West Mercer Street, will be held at 1 o’clock tomorrow afternoon in the Mittelstadt Mortuary, with burial in Mount Pleasant. She died Saturday in her home.

Mrs. Gould came to Washington more than 50 years ago with her husband, Arthur H. Gould, founder of the Gould Lumber Company, who died in 1946. She had been a Seattle resident for 40 years.

Mrs. Gould, honorary life President of the King County Humane Society, presented the group with one of its first automobiles. She was a life member of the Washington Anti-Vivisection Society and a member of the State Humane Society of Washington.

Her son, Clarence W. Bandy, died when a plane piloted by Eddie Hubbard, early day Seattle Alaska mail flyer, plunged into Puget Sound in 1921.

Surviving is her daughter in law, Mrs. Irene Bandy.
