While transcribing for the Washington State Archives, I decided to add some details to this site. The index will soon appear on the Washington State Digital Archives which can easily be searched. I wanted to add names and details on this page. Unfortunately it is not inclusive, but just a representation of the information available. This transcription has been with great intentions of being accurate, but it is always best and wise to obtain the original. If you see something that needs to be noted or changed, please let me know.
Note that there are Japanese marriages listed here. The men come from many areas of the west. The women are gathered from a ship in harbor. I will be looking for more information about this practice, unless someone else has time or knows where to find references.
