REGO, John B.
John B. REGO was born in 1825 in France. He married Kathren B. FRIEDLY,
born 1830 in Indiana. John and Kathren had six children. Josephine
S. (birthdate unknown) and Mary C. (1850)
were born in Indiana. The four remaining children were born in Missouri.
They were Jacob E. (1856), Emma
(1859), Anna Belle (1867) and Effie
Frances (1869). John and Kathren lived in Kittitas County since 1874.
REGO, Josephine S.
Josephine S. REGO was born in Indiana to
John
B. REGO and Kathren B. FRIEDLY. She married William D. KILLMORE on
February 18, 1872 in Missouri.
William was born on October 15, 1832 in Syracuse, New York to Luke KILLMORE
and Axey RATHBURN. Josephine and William lived in Kittitas County from
about 1873. They had six children; John S., Ida Bull, Lottie, Clara Wason,
Katie, and Effie.
REGO, Mary C.
Mary C. REGO was born on October 28, 1850 in Indiana to
John
B. REGO and Kathren B. FRIEDLY. In 1870, Mary married James H. STEVENS.
James was born in 1842 in Pennsylvania. James and Mary had three children.
Florence M. was born in 1871. James
and Mary moved to Ellensburg, Kittitas County in 1873 where they had Robert
H. on February 23, 1876 and Nellie I. on October 19, 1886. James was a
Veteran of the Civil War.
STEVENS, Florence M.
Florence M. STEVENS was born in 1871 to
James
H. STEVENS and Mary C. REGO. She married Cary A. SNYDER on April 3,
1887 in Ellensburg, Kittitas County, Washington. She came to Kittitas County
in the 1870's.
Cary was born May 24, 1858 in Illinois to Andrew SNYDER and Manervia
EDIE. He moved to Nebraska at age 11, where he worked on father's farm.
In about 1882, Carey moved to Olympia, Washington to work in a logging
camp. After one year, Cary moved to Kittitas County, where he worked for
four years on the farm of J. H. STEVENS. Cary was one of six children,
several of which lived in Western Washington.
Florence and Carey had five children who were bron in Ellensburg, Kittitas
County, Washington. They were Elsie (June
26, 1888), Arthur E. (December 17, 1890), Walter L.(February 8, 1895),
Kathleen (November 9, 1896), Dorothy H. (November 3, 1897).
SNYDER, Elsie
Elsie SNYDER was born June 26, 1888 in Ellensburg, Kittitas County,
Washington to Cary SNYDER and Florence
STEVENS. She married Claude CHARLES and had a daughter named
Pauline
on June 2, 1909 in Ellensburg, Washington. Elsie died June 1972 in Seattle,
King County, Washington. Elsie came to Kittitas County in about 1888.
CHARLES, Pauline
Pauline CHARLES was born to
Elsie Snyder and
Claude CHARLES on June 2, 1909 in Ellensburg, Washington. She married
Edward E. BARNES in 1929 in Seattle, King County, Washington. Pauline died
in Sonoma County, California in 1993.
REGO, Jacob E.
Jacob E. REGO was born on November 24, 1856 in Missouri to John
B. REGO and Kathren B. FRIEDLY. Jacob moved to Kittitas County in 1874.
He married Emma I. ROSS on September 2, 1883 in Missouri.
Emma was born on October 9, 1864 in Harrison County, Missouri to Branson
M. ROSS and Susan A. TERHUNE. She moved to Kittitas County after she married
Jacob in 1883. Emma and Jacob had three children in Ellensburg, Kittitas
County, Washington; Zeffa E. (February 5, 1885), John B., Jr. (March 31
1890) and Ruby (October 5, 1893).
REGO, Emma R.
Emma R. REGO was born on May 17, 1859 in Missouri to John
B. REGO and Kathren B. FRIEDLY. She married W. A. STEVENS in 1876 in
Ellensburg, Kittitas County, Washington.
W. A. was born on December 3, 1851 in Pennsylvania to John H. STEVENS
and Harriet LOCKWOOD. He came to Kittitas County in 1873. Emma and W. A.
had three children who were born in Ellensburg, Kittitas County, Washington.
They were Joseph E. (1877), Arthur L.(date unknown), and John Leo (1892).
REGO, Anna Belle
Anna Belle REGO was born on April 30, 1867 in Harrison County, Missouri
to John B. REGO and Kathren B. FRIEDLY. She
came to Kittitas County in 1874. She married John N. BURCH April 8, 1883
in Ellensburg, Kittitas County, Washington..
John N. BURCH was born May 15, 1858 in Michigan to Levi BURCH and went
to school in Lenawee County, Michigan. John came to Kittitas County in
about 1879 at the age of 21. He worked on the SMITH Ranch and the N.T.
GOODWIN farm in Ellensburg area, prior to renting it and cultivating it
for himself. John later purchased the farm of J.
B. REGO, his wife's father. John was a member of the M. E. Church and
Woodmen of the World.
John and Anna had three children; Leroy Winfred, Dora E., and Clara
C.
REGO, Effie Frances
Effie Frances REGO was born on 1869 in Missouri to John
B. REGO and Kathren B. FRIEDLY. She married Charles D. STEVENS.
Charles was born in 1860. He had moved to Kittitas County in 1874. Charles
and Effie had one son, born October 29, 1892.
