John Franklin Loftin

"John Franklin Loftin was born in Dot, Wash., March 6, 1887 and grew to manhood in Eastern Klickitat county. In 1916 he was married to Miss Jean Hill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Hill of Goldendale. To this union four sons were born: Jack of Goldendale, Robert of Bremerton, and William and James who lived with their parents in Bremerton.

In 1933 his wife died, and later while employed as welding inspector on Bonneville dam he met and married Susan McCoubrey who mourns his passing.

Jack, as he was known to his friends, was a veteran of World War number one and a member of Bremerton post number 149 of the American Legion. He also belonged to the fraternal order of Eagles Aerie 192, of Bremerton.

At the time of his death he was employed as a welder in the navy yard and had lived in Bremerton over two years.

Besides his wife and four sons he leaves one grandson and two sisters, Mrs. Jenny Van Note of North Bonneville, and Mrs. Hattie Balsinger, of Portland."
