Mollie [Giezentanner] Gerry
County Pioneer Dies In Seattle

"A former Klickitat county resident, Mrs. Mollie Gerry (Mollie Giezentanner) 72, died at her home in Seattle May 2. She was the daughter of Jacob and Mary Giezentanner, county pioneers who homesteaded in the Horseshoe Bend community in the spring of 1880.

She attended school in Goldendale until she was 15 years of age. Then after a term at North Yakima she attended the Oregon normal school at Monmouth after which she taught school in Eastern Klickitat county and Kennewick.

She was married to Robert Gerry, a Pasco businessman, in 1892. In later years the couple moved to Seattle where Mr. Gerry passed away in 1931.

Funeral rites were held in Seattle at Forkner's University parlors for Mrs. Gerry. Interment was at the Evergreen Memorial Park.

She was born in Knox county, Tenn., January 12, 1870. The Christian Science Service was conducted by M. Guy Worthing, reader.

Survivors include one son, Robert Gerry, jr., four daughters, Mrs. Lillian Dorr, Mrs. Alice Bramble, Miss Marian and Miss Bobbetta Gerry, all of Seattle; and two brothers, Tom Giezentanner, of Los Angeles, and Charles Giezentanner, of Dry Falls, Washington."
