Willard Wing, City Pioneer, Dies In South

"A pioneer resident of Klickitat county, Willard Wing, 71, died April 14 at the Neighbors of Woodcraft home in Riverside, Calif. For many years Mr. Wing operated the blacksmith shop located at the corner of Main and Chatfield streets. He retired several years ago and has since made his home in California.

Mr. Wing was born in Hillsboro, Ore., April 18, 1871. He came to Klickitat county when a small boy. In 1896 he was married to Lillie B. Lacey, who preceded him in death. One daughter, Marguerite Wing Hammack, of Salem, Ore., survives this union.

Mr. Wing later married Ida Saxton who also preceded him in death. Besides his daughter, Mrs. Hammack, other survivors include: a brother, Marion Wing, of Goldendale; two sisters, Elsie Mears, of Kansas, and Laura Troutman, of Tennessee."
