“Funeral services were held for Golda Buelah Hampton Fulton at the Coulee City Presbyterian Church on Monday, June 16 under the direction of Jones and Jones Funeral Home of Wenatchee, with the Rev Roger V Muisiner officiating. Mrs Fulton had moved to the Coulee City area with her parents as a child in 1902. She graduated from the Coulee City High School and also graduated from Cheney Normal School in 1916 and returned to Coulee City as a teacher there.  She was married to Harry Fulton in Coulee City on June 12, 1918, who preceded her in death. Mrs Fulton had taught in Del Rio, Stevens Co, Mold, Omak and Cashmere besides Coulee City. Her teaching career spanned 40 years.  She had served as state president of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, had been a member of Grange, was associated with both the Washington State Teacher’s Association and the National Retired Teacher’s Association. She had been a member of both the Davenport and Omak Presbyterian churches as well as the Christian Church of Lawndale, CA. She had made her residence with her daughter, Elva Fulton Calkins, in Bothell, WA, since the death of her husband in 1967.  Survivors include one daughter, Elva Calkins of Bothell; one sister, Mrs Glen Slater of Davenport; three grandchildren; one niece and one nephews. Interment occurred at the Hartline Cemetery, Hartline, WA.” (Davenport Times:  6-19-1980)
