Family memory is that she died in her father's barn near Addy when the horse she was sitting on bucked. According to Stevens Co. marriage records, Philipa married married Bert F BLAIR 25 Dec 1901. There is a family memory of twins being born to this couple. The marriage record was witnessed by C.H. Bedan (Spokane) and J.S. Williams (Colville), age 18, residence Colville, father Thos. M. Smith, mother Jane Thompson. Birthplace Deep Creek WA (Stevens Co). Philipa was buried in the Meyers Falls cemetery and moved in 1907 to the Greenwood Cemetery in Spokane where she is buried as Philipa SMITH in the family plot of T M Smith.
