CRUEA, Cora E., age 65 years, of Sumas, passed away at her home Sunday, Nov. 30, (1952) following a short illness. She had been a resident of Sumas for the past 13 years and formerly resided in Nooksack. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, in Seattle, and of the Double A Club. Mrs. Cruea is survived by her husband, Carl P.; two sons, Dwight L., of Everson, and Gerald E., of Seattle; one brother, Harry Pulley, of Everson, and two grandsons, Gary and Douglas, both of Seattle. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. from the Gillies Funeral Home at Sumas with The Rev. Hilmer Hanson, officiating. Interment, Greenacres Memorial Park.

CRUEA, Gerald E., 59, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away suddenly Tuesday March 14, (1978) in Bellevue. Services were held Friday March 17 in the Bonney Watson Funeral Home in Seattle with Rev. David Crook officiating. Cremation followed. Cruea was a former resident of the Nooksack and Sumas area and had a career in banking and business management. He is survived by his wife Lois of Scottsdale, Arizona, two sons, Gary of Issaquah and Douglas of Bellevue, a brother Dwight of Everson. There are two grandchildren, Tammy Allison and Gary Cruea, both of Issaquah.

CRUEA, Hazel Marie, age 87, lifetime resident of Whatcom Co., died March 18, 1997 at Christian Health Care Center. She was born January 24, 1910 in Nooksack, Washington to Nicholas and Hilma (Swwanson) Olsen. Mrs. Cruea was a graduate of Nooksack High School and completed two years of Business College. She worked as a telephone operator for several years and later as a Dental Technician. Hazel married Dwight Cruea March 29, 1930 in Nooksack, WA. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and enjoyed flowers, gardening and all of the domestic arts. Hazel will be remembered for her indomitable spirit and cheerful goodwill. She leaves to survive her loving husband, Dwight Cruea of Everson, WA and numerous other relatives. Visitation will be held at Westford Funeral Home, Friday, 9:00 a.m. to Noon. Graveside services will be held at Nooksack Cemetery, 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 21, 1997. Arrangements by Westford Funeral Home.

CRUICKSHANK, Donald F., age 80 who resided at 410 E. Hemmi Road, Lynden passed away in a local hospital May 21, 1980. He was a retired Dairy Farmer and Past Master of Lynden Lodge No 56 and a member of Bellingham Bay Lodge No. 44 F & AM. He leaves to survive his wife Theodora of Lynden, 1 son Philip Cruickshank and daughter-in-law Natalie, both residing in New Jersey, 1 sister Mary Ihrig of Idaho, 2 brothers, Wesley & George of Idaho, 3 grandchildren, Steward & his wife Janice of Tennessee, Marsha & Walter of New Jersey. CRUICKSHANK, Hickman Lake, age 82, of 700 32nd St., passed away April 7, 1979 in B'ham. He was born Jan. 7, 1897 in St. Annes's, Ontario. He grew up in Canada, served in the Canadian Armed Forces during WWI, he then moved to Seattle where he worked for Elliott Bay Plywood. He moved to B'ham. In 1971, he was a member of the Lumber Mill Workers of America. He is survived by 2 sons; Clarence H., Clifford S. both of B'ham. 1 daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Crouch of Seattle. 2 brothers; Sheldon of New Westminster, B. C. Gordon of Calgary, Alberta. 1 sister, Mrs. Winn Pattison of Victoria, B. C. 8 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Tues. April 10th at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Washelli, Seattle. CRUICKSHANK, Laura, age 85, a resident of Lynden for the past 50 years, passed away in Seattle Saturday, Oct. 28, (1950). Surviving relatives include a son, Donald Cruickshank, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 30, at 2 p.m. at the Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden, with the Rev. Chester Blair, officiating. Interment in the Lynden Cemetery.

CRUICKSHANK, Mae, age 82 of 1901 C St., passed away Thursday, May 3, (1956) at a local hospital following an extended illness. She was a resident of Bellingham for the past 65 years. She leaves to survive her one nephew, Andrew Cruickshank of Moses Lake and one niece, Mrs. Mae Pitts of Canada; also one cousin, Norman Cruickshank of this city. Rev. Norman B. Harrison will officiate at funeral services Tuesday, May 8 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Bingham-Dahlquist and Jerns Funeral Home. Interment Bayview Cemetery.

CRUICKSHANK, Theodora A. - Graveside services for Theodora A. Cruickshank will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Point Roberts Cemetery with the Rev. Ernie Loreen officiating. Mrs. Cruickshank of 2726 Alderwod Ave. died Wednesday, April 20, 1994, at Alderwood Park Convalescent Center. She was 93. Born April 25, 1901, to Erik and Gertrude Jonasdauter Anderson in Point Roberts, she completed the eighth grade and secretarial school. She lived in Bremerton and on Orcas Island for two or three years in the 1930s, the only time she did not live in Whatcom County. A homemaker, she and her husband, Donald, spent most of their lives in Point Roberts. He preceded her in death in 1980. Survivors include son Philip A. Cruickshank of Princeton, N. J.; sister Sophia Gudmundson of Bellingham; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Jern-LeVeck Funeral Chapel.

CRUIKSHANK, Clifford S., age 63, of 5137 Noon Rd., Bellingham, passed away at his residence Fri. Feb. 15, 1991. He graduated from Queen Ann High School in Seattle; served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a radio man; retired from Great Western. He enjoyed working on his farm. Survived by a daughter; Cynthia & Leo Tobin; 1 grandson, Jacob Adkinson; 1 brother, Clarence Cruikshank, all of Bellingham; 1 sister, Lorraine & Charles Crouch of Seattle. CRUIKSHANK, Frank Perry, age 77 of Lynden, passed away at his home Tuesday, August 16, (1949) following a lingering illness. Mr. Cruikshank had been a resident of the Lynden district for the past 48 years and was a member of the Lynden Masonic Lodge. Surviving relatives include his wife, Laura L., one son Donald R., of Seattle, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 19, at 2 p.m. (S. T.) at the Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden. Interment in the Lynden Cemetery.

CRUME, Dana W., age 19 of Naval Air Station, Widbey, died Tues., Sept. 23, 1980. He was a resident of Blaine and graduate from Blaine High School, class of '79. He leaves to survive his father, A. M. Crume of Seattle; his mother, Dorothy Gibbons & step-father Evan Gibbons, both Coquitlam, B. C.; 3 sisters; Suzann Johnson of Seattle; Kathleen Pai & brother-in-law Ronald of Hawaii; Theresa Crume of Blaine; 1 brother, Patrick Crume of Seattle; his grandmother, Gladys Miller of Blaine; 1 niece & 2 nephews. CRUMP, Curtis M., age 51 of Route 3, Ferndale passed away Thursday, February 28, (1963) in a Seattle hospital following surgery. Mr. Crump had been a resident of Ferndale the past nine years and was a U. S. Army Veteran of W.W.II and a member of the Oil and Atomic Workers Union. He is survived by his wife Margaret and one brother, L. G. Crump of Oxnard, Calif. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 2 at 1:30 p.m. in Moles Funeral Chapel with Rev. CRUMP, Elizabeth Ann, age 86, of 1817 Knox Street, passed away in a local hospital Wednesday, September 23, (1953). Mrs. Crump had resided in this community for the last 30 years and had attended the Jehovah's Witnesses. She leaves to survive five sons, Roy and Edgar of Bellingham, Walter of Prosser, John, of Seattle, and Oscar I., of Springfield, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Ora Montrose, of Bishop, Calif., and Mrs. Ethel Kelley, of Port Orchard, Wash.; 14 grandchildren including Mrs. Henrietta Everson, of Bellingham, and 13 great-grandchildren. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by Roland Lee Monday, Sept. 28, at 10:30 a.m. Final resting place Greenacres Memorial Park.

CRUMP, Mabel Cornwall, age 95 of 1509 E. Victor passed away April 1st, 1990. CRUMP, Thomas, age 84 years, passed away at a local hospital Wednesday, August 14, (1946). Mr. Crump had lived in Bellingham for the past 23 years and was a farmer. He is survived by the widow, Elizabeth Crump; five sons, Roy and Edgar, Bellingham, Walter, Prosser, Wash., Oscar, Springfield, Ill., John, Seattle; two daughters, Mrs. Earl Montrose, Leevining, Calif., Mrs. Robert Kelly, Port Orchard, Wash.; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. CRUMP, William H., age 2 months, of 1232 E. Pole Rd., passed away Wed. March 25, (1981). He leaves to survive his parents Mr. & Mrs. Terry Crump of the family home; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. William Crump of Edmonds; maternal grandmother, Katherine Hyde of this City; numerous other relatives. Services will be conducted Fri. March 27 t 11 a.m. from the Church of the Sacred Heart under the direction of the Westford Funeral Home.

CRUMRINE, Curtis O., age 67, life long Skagit Co. resident died Thursday, Oct. 13, (1977) in United General Hospital. He was born in Bayview, WA March 8, 1910. Retired heavy equipment operator, member of the IOOF Lodge and the Operating Engineers Union and the International Workers of America. Survived by wife, Lora of Sedro Woolley; daughter Marlene Parsons of Lakeside, Arizona; 2 step daughters, Barbara Tyson of Tacoma and Lois Rabon of St. Mary's Ga.; 3 sisters, Anna-Bell Jensen, Lois Stieringer and Eilene Robbins all of Mt. Vernon; 16 grandchildren. The body will lie in state at Lemley Chapel in Sedro Woolley until noon Monday, Oct. 17. Cremation will be at Hawthorne Lawn Memorial Park followed by inurnment at the Sedro Woolley Cemetery.

CRUSER, Maud, 93, 1224 Cornwall Ave., died Saturday (Oct. 20, 19779) at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Westford Funeral Home.

CRUSON, Donald C., 72, of Bellingham died Feb. 15, 1995 at home. He was born Sept. 30, 1922 to Gail Stuart and Myron Cruson in Minnesota. He moved to Washington in 1930 and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1941. Mr. Cruson built roads and airstrips for the army during World War II as a heavy automotive equipment engineer with A Company Regiment 18920. He was awarded the American Theater Service Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Medal. He worked at Foss Tugs from Seattle to Alaska and at Bechtol Corp. in Ferndale before retiring from Mobil Oil Corp. facility in Ferndale. He was a member of Bellingham Yacht Club; Bellingham-Whatcom Chamber of Commerce & Industry; Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1585; American Legion in Sumas; Coast Guard Auxiliary; Maritime Heritage Society; and the National Rifle Association. He was a 32nd degree master mason and an inventor. He also was the seventh original member of the Mount Baker Motorcycle Club and one of its presidents. He also was involved in Children's International and sponsored a Chilean girl. Survivors include son Kent L. Cruson of Bellingham; brother Carl M. Cruson of Everson; and numerous other relatives. Private services were held. Arrangements were made by Jerns-LeVeck Funeral Chapel of Bellingham.

CRUSON, Gayle, age 88, of Bellingham, passed away in Bellingham, Wednesday, February 10, (1988). She was born December 15, 1899 in Mason City, Iowa. She has been a resident of this area since 1929, and was a member of the Amaranth Club and Eastern Star. She was the first woman licensed Charter Boat Skipper, volunteer in St. Lukes Polio Ward during WWII, she sang in the Seattle Phil Harmonic Choic & Garden St. Methodist Church Choir, enjoyed oil painting, & was a private dress designer. She is survived by her 2 sons, Donald Cruson & Carl M. & his wife June Cruson, all of Bellingham; her sister in Colorado; 5 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 20, at Jerns LeVeck Funeral Chapel w/Rev. Wayne Francis officiating. Under the direction of Jerns LeVeck Funeral Chapel.

CRUTCHFIELD, Martha H., 86, 702 32nd St. died Tuesday (Oct. 21, 1986) in Bellingham. She was born Oct. 26, 1899, in Morris, Ill. and moved to Bellingham two years ago from Camden, Ark. Survivors include a daughter, Marian Sandsberry of Bellingham; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Funeral services and burial will be held later in Camden, Ark. Local arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home.

CRUX, Elizabeth June Sykes (nee Roperd), beloved wife of Albert G. D. Crux and beloved mother of daughters Elizabeth and Lauren passed away peacefully November 21, 1991, at Needham's Nursing Home at age 84. Mrs. Crux was a victim of Alzheimer's disease. The family will be announcing a memorial service for Mrs. Crux at a future date. Arrangements under the direction of Jerns LeVeck Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.

CRUZ-MONDRAGON, Dael - Visitation for Dael Cruz-Mondragon of Everson will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden. A memorial service will start at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stan Jacobson officiating. A funeral service and burial will follow later this week in Mexico. Mr. Cruz-Mondragon died Tuesday, Jan 18, 2000, as a result of injuries he suffered in a traffic accident at Mount Baker Highway and Sand Road. He was 25. Born Aug 1, 1974, in Mexico to Audiel Cruz-Zarza and Edelmira Mondragon, he grew up in Mexico and lived in Whatcom County the past five years. He worked in the agriculture industry here. Survivors include his wife, Maria Felix Mendoz-Sanchez; daughter Elizabeth Cruz-Mendoz; his parents of Mexico; brothers Jose Manuel Cruz-Mondragon and Audiel Cruz-Mondragon, both of Everson; and sister Neldina Cruz-Mondragon in Mexico.

CSOLTI, Charles, Jr., age 71, of 2515 F St., died Thursday (July 19, 1990) at his home. He was born April 15, 1919, in Roebling, N. J. He was an aluminum worker for Intalco in Ferndale for 25 years. He was a World War II veteran, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He belonged to Calvary Temple of God Church of Bellingham. Mr. Csolti is survived by daughters Pat Caserta of West Palm Beach, Fla., Kelly Procel of West Palm Beach, Fla., Kerry Marie of Philadelphia, Pa., and Mimi Csolti of San Francisco, Calif.; sisters Julie Birkholz and Rose Lynch; and two grandchildren. No funeral services will be held. Arrangements are by Westford Funeral Home.

CUBERTSON, Rhoda C., age 82, who resided at Pt. Roberts, passed away in a Blaine nursing home Wed., Sept. 20, 1978. She was a retired bookkeeper and surviving are 1 sister, Louise Collins of Pt. Roberts; 2 brothers, Bertram Bickford of White Rock, B. C. & Alan Bickford of Bakersfield, CA. Funeral services will be held in Veroskes McKinney Funeral Home, Sat. Sept. 23 at 2:30 p.m.

CUIC, Dankmar - A memorial service for Dankmar "Chuck" Cuic, 49, of 113 Parkride Road, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Bellingham, with Rev. John Gibbs officiating. Mr. Cuic died Thursday (Oct. 4, 1990) at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bellingham. He had been a Bellingham resident for the last four years and was a self-employed computer consultant. He lived in Anacortes before moving to Bellingham. He was born July 16, 1941 in Brinje, Yugoslavia. He married Nina Siegel on Sept. 25, 1964 in Mineola, N. Y. He received his Master's in English Literature from the University of Maryland. Survivors include his wife Nina of 26 years; three daughters, Julie, Maya and Christina Cuic all of Bellingham; and his mother Radojka Cuic of New York City. Arrangements are being made by the Whatcom Cremation Association.

CUENCA-PAREDES, Marcos - Prayer service for Marcos Cuenca-Paredes, 22, will be at 4 p.m. Monday, March 16, at Moles Funeral home in Ferndale, with the Rev. Emilio Gonzales officiating. Mr. Cuenca-Paredes died Friday, March 13, (1992) in Ferndale of injuries from a vehicle accident Dec. 15. He was born Nov. 22, 1969, in San Miguel, Mexico, to Heriberto and Marcilina Cuenca. He had been a resident of Whatcom County for four months. Survivors include his parents, Heriberto and Marcilina Cuenca; brothers, Heriberto Cuenca Jr. and Danial (sic) Cuenca; sisters, Martha Cuenca and Otilla Cuenca; grandparents Thomas and Adrienne Cuenca; and numerous other friends and relatives. Mr. Cuenca-Paredes' family lives in San Miguel, Mexico. Arrangements are by Moles Funeral Home, 2039 Main St. Ferndale.

CULBERTSON, Caroline Fay, age 47, Blaine, passed away suddenly Saturday, July 11, (1964). A lifetime resident of Yakima Valley she had made her home in Blaine for the past 3 years. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ellensburg and the L.P.N. Assoc. She is survived by her husband, Clinton of Blaine; 1 daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Bonny of Sunnyside; 4 sisters, Mrs. Wilma McDermott of Seattle, Mrs. Marge Culberton, Japan, Mrs. Josephine Suite Naches (sic) and Mrs. Pat Brathovde, Yakima; her mother, Inez Little, Nachez; her father, Chet St. John of Ellensburg; also 4 grandchildren. CULBERTSON, Charlotte, of 601 14th Street, passed away suddenly at her home, Monday, July 13, (1959). Mrs. Culbertson had been a resident of Bellingham for the past 14 years, was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a well-known retired business woman. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Holt, Sue and Harriet Bowen; two brothers, Charles and James Bowen, all of Bellingham. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 17, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Westford Funeral Home with the Rev. James B. Hughes, pastor, officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

CULBERTSON, Gerald John, age 30, died March 17, 2002 at home with his family, after battling cancer for sometime. Gerald is survived by his children; Latisha, Darrell, Stephanie and Jeffery, all of Alaska; his parents, Lillie A. Culbertson of Ferndale and Darrell Allen Culbertson of Bellingham; his brothers, Raymond Anthony Culbertson of Ferndale, Ismael Frazier of Seattle; his uncle, Mike and aunt Frieda of Birch Bay; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins of Washington, Arizona and New Mexico. A service for Gerald will be held Saturday, March 22, 2002 at 3 p.m. at Hope in Christ, corner of Sunset and James.

CULBERTSON, William Clifton of Santa Barbara, California, passed away Monday morning, November 6, (1944) at Santa Barbara following a long illness. Mr. Culbertson was a hotel proprietor and real estate operator in California. He was also an attorney, admitted to the bar in seven states, having practiced law in Kansas City for 18 years. He was a member of the Royal Rosarians, Lions, Kiwanis, Rotary Club, Elks, Masons lodge and National Real Estate association. Mr. Culbertson is survived by his wife, Charlotte, of Santa Barbara, who has two brothers, Charles and James E. Bowen and three sisters, Mrs. E. C. Holt, Susanna and Harriet Bowen, all of this city; one sister, Mrs. Strobel, and niece, Doris Strobel, both of Washington, D. C.; also several nieces and nephews in the East. Funeral services were conducted in the Cathedral Chapel of the Westford-Beck Funeral Home Wednesday, November 15, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James M. Wilson officiating. Interment, Woodlawn.

CULLUP, Adeline Imogene, age 34, who lived at Deming Star Route, passed away at her home, Monday, Sept. 25, (1961). Mrs. Cullup resided in this vicinity for the past 23 years. She leaves to survive her husband, Gene H.; five sons, Martin, Jay, Ray, Winton, Alvin and six daughters, Sheryl, Susan, Vern, Peggy, Ellen, Lori, all at home; her aunt, Mrs. Ben Weir of Concrete; one uncle, Clifford Whipple, Snohomish, and one great-uncle, Mark Whipple of Bellingham. CULLUP, Clarence F., age 64, of 2614 Valencia Street, passed away at a local hospital Thursday, July 21, (1955). Mr. Cullup had been a resident of this community the past 26 years, a veteran of World War I and a retired laborer. Surviving relatives include the wife, Mary at the family home; three sons, Gene H. of Bellingham, Lynn A. of Spirit Lake, Idaho, and Floyd M. of Seattle; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Mennix of Turlock, Calif., Mrs. Maud Roberts of Lambert, Mont., Mrs. Emma Storm of Bellingham, and Mrs. E. V. Anderson of Seattle, and numerous nieces and nephews. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. Mrs. Cullup had resided in this community for the past 13 years, and had attended the Methodist Church. Survivors are four sons, Frank Shaw, of Lomite, Calif., Donald Shaw of San Diego, Calif., Lewis Shaw of Connecticut, and Alvin Shaw, in Missouri; four daughters, Mrs. Amie Byer, Mrs. Marie Streiff, and Mrs. Florence Moreau, all of Bellingham, and Mrs. Esther Cummings of Vancouver, Wn.; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Burget of Cashmere; one brother, Ray Lawson of Los Angeles, Calif. The remains rest at the Jones' Harlow-Hollingsworth Funeral Home where services will be conducted by the Rev. C. W. Wheeler Wednesday, August 28 at 3 p.m. Final resting place Woodlawn.

CULLUP, Matilda C., age 90 years, passed away at a local hospital suddenly Tuesday, October 2, (1951). Mrs. Cullup had been a resident of Bellingham for the past 31 years and was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Emma Storm, of this city, Mrs. Blanche Anderson, of Seattle, Mrs. Minnie Minnix, of Turlock, Calif., and Mrs. Maude Roberts, of Lambert, Mont.; one son, Clarence Cullup, of Bellingham; also numerous grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Saturday, October 6, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of the Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns Funeral Home. Interment, Woodlawn Cemetery.

CULLUP, Norma Lou, age 57, passed away at her home, Route 2, Lynden, Monday, October 29, (1951). Mrs. Cullup had resided in Bellingham for the past 21 years. She leaves to survive three sons, Floyd and Lynn Cullup both of Seattle, and Gene, of Kendall; three grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Flora O'Brien, of Clarkston, Wash.; one brother, Errol Kelly, of Colfax, Wash., and one sister, Mrs. Edith Harpam, of John Day, Ore. CULMER, Arthur B., age 75, of 2620 Sunset Drive, passed away in a local hospital Saturday, July 31, (1954). Mr. Culmer had been a resident of Bellingham the past 52 years and was a member of the Mormon Church and was a member of Albert J. Hamilton Post No. 7 of the American Legion. Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Jennie Culmer, at the family home; a sister, Mrs. Pearl C. Lynn of Seattle; and two nieces, Mrs. Dorothy Pearson of Seattle, and Mrs. Constance Olpin of Salt Lake City, Utah. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where Christian Science services will be held Monday, Aug. 2, at 3 p.m. Cremation.

CULP, Alben B., age 73, passed away May 23, 1991 in a nursing care facility in Mount Vernon, Wa. Mr. Culp was born Aug. 20, 1917 to Julius and Carrie Culp in Benton, Kentucky. As a pilot in the Air Force, he flew in the Berlin Airlift during World Ward II. He was later Air Attache to Korea. Mr. Culp retired from the Air Force as a Major and came to Bellingham to live. He resided in this area for 5 years before moving to Skagit County. Survived by his wife, Beverly of the family home; 3 sons, Christopher of Bellingham, Steven of Seattle, and Patrick of California; 1 sister Jettie Rosecrans of Alton, Illinois; 1 nephew. CULP, Dora M., age 85 of Stanwood, formerly of Pt. Roberts died Wed., Dec. 14, (1988) in a Stanwood nursing home. She was born Dec. 15, 1902 in Pt. Roberts, WA & had grown up & lived in Pt. Roberts the majority of her life. Dora was a 50 yr. member of the Northwest Grange, a member of the Pt. Roberts Community Church & also a member of the Garden Club of Ladner, B. C. She leaves 2 daughter & sons-in-law; Lois & Joe Hiechel of Stanwood & Phyllis & John Surabian of Seattle, 1 sister; Ella VanOosten of Longview, WA, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. CULP, Nelson Perry, age 85 years, a resident of Point Roberts, passed away at a local hospital Sunday, Dec. 14, (1952) after a lingering illness. Surviving relatives include one son, Lyle, of Point Roberts; one step-daughter, Mrs. Florence Van Wingerdon, and two step-sons, Charles Walters and Esburn Walters, all of Bellingham; one brother, Arthur D. Culp, of Spokane; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. CULP, Walter Lyle, age 76, of 340 Boundary Bay Rd., Pt. Roberts, passed away at home Weds. Aug. 24, (1977). A retired machinist he had made his home on Pt. Roberts for the past 53 years. He was a member of the Trinity Community Church of Pt. Roberts. A charter member & Past Master of the Northwest Grange. Member of the Pt. Roberts Park Board, Cemetery Board, Senior Citizens & was active in many other community activities. Surviving; his wife, Dora. 2 daughters. Lois Heichel of Stanwood & Phyllis Surabian of Seattle. CULTEE, Alvin F., 45, 2849 W. Maplewood Ave., died Tuesday (Nov. 26, 1985) at a local hospital. A resident of the Lummi Reservation for many years, Mr. Cultee had served four years in the U. S. Navy in Japan, was a commercial fisherman and worked at a lumber mill in Oregon. He also attended barber and hair stylist school in California. Mr. Cultee had performed various duties for Lummi Tribal Enterprises, including work as a heavy equipment operator, a police officer and director for Lummi Fisheries. He also was director of the Pine Enterprises in Seattle, director of Lummi Tribal Community Center and served on both the Lummi Tribal Council and the Bellingham Mental Health Board. Mr. Cultee was an active participant in various sporting events, including canoe pulling, baseball and boxing. He was coach of the Cultee Basketball Team at the time of his death. Mr. Cultee also cooked fish for the committee that organizes the Lummi Stommish. Survivors include his wife, Lillian, a son, Shannon Francis of Lummi Reservation; two daughters, Justine Frances of Bellingham and Alta Mae of Seattle; two step-children, Julie Edwards and Terri Scoville of Bellingham; one sister, Donna Mae James of the Lummi Reservation; his stepfather, George Finkbonner; a granddaughter; several nieces and nephews (Nathan, Kitsap, Chris, Kevin, Loren, Julie, Alvin, Christine, Cliff, Tamara, Dawn, Thelma, Pamala, Hutch, Norby, all of Lummi); an uncle (Clifford Celestine of Lummi); three aunts (Sadie Jones of Lummi, Grace Eqawa of Seattle, and Charlotte of Squamish); and numerous cousins. Evening vigil and prayer services will be at 6:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Moles Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joachim's Catholic Church on the Lummi Reservation by the Rev. Jack Buckalew. Burial will be in Lummi Reservation Cemetery.

CULTEE, Gladys Mare "Gigi" 52, 3923 Lummi Shore Road, Bellingham, passed away on the Lummi Reservation Sat. June 19, 1993. She was born on the Reservation Nov. 3, 1940 to beloved Arthur and Christine Placid Lane, Sr. Mrs. Cultee participated in Lummi drill teach and canoe club activities; was a runner-up as a Lummi Stommish Princess, enjoyed watching children playing sports. Hobbies included crocheting, bingo, garage "sailing" and cruising around the Horn. She was preceded in death by her husband Kitsap Solomon Cultee, Sr. in 1971. CULTEE, Justine F. - Visitation for Justine F. Cultee of Bellingham will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Moles Funeral Chapel in Ferndale. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wex Li Em Community Center, 2100 Lummi View Road, with Dobie Tom officiating. Burial will follow at Lummi Nation Cemetery. Ms. Cultee died as a result of a hiking accident at Clark's Point on Friday, Nov. 12, 1999. She was 23. Born Oct. 1, 1976, to Alvin and Judith (Pelland) Cultee in Bellingham, Ms. Cultee was active in founding a lesbian activist group in Bellingham. She was an avid reader and loved music. Her father, brother Gary Edwards, grandfather Merle Pelland and grandmother Bernadine Finkbonner preceded her in death. Survivors include her mother, of Bellingham sisters Liza Jamison of Seattle and Julie-El-Khoury of Ventura, Calif. brothers Terry Scoville of Bellingham and Shannon Cultee of Lummi Reservation nieces and nephews special friends Anne-Marie Basso and Samantha Jones-Kantak and many other relatives.

CULVER, Alicia, age 75, of 2805 Grant street, passed away in a local hospital Monday, April 15, (1946). Mrs. Culver had been a resident of this community for the past 22 years and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal church, Rebekahs and the Degree of Honor of Friday Harbor, where she had lived for 18 years before her residence in Bellingham. Surviving relatives are two daughters, Mrs. Inez Kirby, of Bellingham,, and Mrs. Elsa Leber, of Sedro-Woolley; one step-daughter, Mrs. Margaret McKim, of Utah, and seven grandchildren. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth. Services will be conducted from the St. Paul's Episcopal church by the Rev. Canon E. B. CULVER, Mabel G., age 80, passed away at her home, 2303 Ellis St., Saturday, Oct. 18, (1952). Mrs. Culver had resided in this community since 1894, and was a member of the Universalist Church. Surviving relatives are one son, Carroll, at Doe Bay, Orcas Island; four daughters, Mrs. Russell Watson, of Manistique, Mich., Mrs. G. Mason Hall, of Edmonds, Wash., Mrs. George Hipkoe and Mrs. Helge Johanson, both of Bellingham; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. ALICE CUMMINGS, OLD SETTLER, DIES
Mrs. Alice Eugena Cummings, a pioneer of Whatcom county, passed away in a local hospital Wednesday (March 17, 1943) at the age of 89 years after a lingering illness. Mrs. Cummings, who was a member of the Garden Street Methodist church forty-five years, was born at St. Charles, Mo., May 31, 1853, and was married to Joseph Cox Cummings in November, 1894. The following spring the couple came west to Sumas where Mr. Cummings had homesteaded a few years previously. After several years on the farm they moved to New Whatcom, now part of Bellingham, where they spent their remaining years. Mr. Cummings died in May, 1931. Surviving relatives include a daughter, Mrs. Paul Gooding, 508 Fourteenth street, with whom Mrs. Cummings made her home; a grandson, Donald, with the U.S. navy in Alaska, and a granddaughter, Lila May, a student at Bellingham high school. Private funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 o'clock in the Harlow-Hollingsworth chapel with the Rev. James E. Milligan officiating. Interment will follow in the Lynden cemetery.

CUMMINGS, Charles, age 82 years, 1008 Twelfth Street, passed away at a local hospital, Saturday, May 22, (1948) following a lingering illness. Mr. Cummings had been a resident of Bellingham for the past twenty-four years and was in the employ of the Alaska Packers at Blaine previous to his retirement. He was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving relatives include, his widow, Mrs. Clara Cummings; one son, Warren Cummings, of Bellingham; two sister, Mrs. Lillie Page, Olympia, and Mrs. Lucy Patterson, Sparta, Wis.; also one brother, Orrin Cummings, of Sparta, Wis., with numerous nieces and nephews. The remains reat at the Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Tuesday, may 25, at 2 p.m. Rev. Paul Woodward officiating. Interment in Greenacres Memorial Park.

CUMMINGS, Charles Taylor, of Lynden died Monday, May 10, 1993. He was 83. Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday at Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden. A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Reformed Church with the Rev. Mark deWaard officiating. Burial will follow in Lynden Cemetery. He was born July 25, 1909, in Medford, Mass., to Louis W. and Edith Sterns Taylor Cummings. In his training to be a high school teacher, he received degrees from Colgate University in Hamilton, N. Y., Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., and Syracuse University, also in New York. Mr. Cummings worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Co. during World War II. He married Virginia Mansfield on April 15, 1941, in Medford. They moved to Washington in 1943. Mr. Cummings developed an interest in the piano, taking lessons from expert teachers. He loved music, especially the pipe organ. In 1967, he moved from Port Townsend to Lynden, where he was a member of First Reformed Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Robert. He is survived by his wife of the family home; son David Cummings of Boardman, Ore.; daughters Lois Edney of Washougal and Eide Brown of Portland, Ore.; stepson H. L. Chase of Okanogan; 12 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Arrangements by Gillies Funeral Home.

CUMMINGS, Esther, 76, of Sedro Woolley, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1992. She was born May 20, 1915, in Chetak, Wisc., to Percy and Mary Shaw. She had been a resident of Skagit County since 1981 and a member of Central United Methodist Church in Sedro-Woolley. She is survived by one sister, Amy Byer of Bellingham; three brothers, Lewis Shaw of Lancaster, Tex., Donald Shaw of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Alvin Shaw of Irving, Tex.; numerous nieces and nephews. CUMMINGS, Jay Earl, age 61, of 2325 Eldridge Ave., passed away in a local hospital Thursday, Jan. 4, (1962). Mr. Cummings had been a 22-year resident of this community and had been employed as a painter for the Puget Sound Pulp and Timber Co. He had attended the First Baptist Church and was a member of Bellingham Lodge No. 194, B.P.O. Elks and leaves to survive his widow Jessie, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Kometz of Ketchikan, Alaska and Mrs. Mary Jean Beckley of Anacortes, Wn., seven grandchildren; three brothers, Douglas of Bremerton, and Leslie and William both of Anacortes; two sisters, Mrs. Leita Brado of Bremerton and Mrs. Bonnie Christenson of Colville, Wn. CUMMINS, Anna E., age 74, who resided at 2530 Woburn St., passed away in a local hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Cummins resided in the Everson and Bellingham vicinity since 1906. CUMMINS, Lettie M., of 225 N. Garden Street, passed away in a local hospital Wednesday, February 22, (1950). Mrs. Cummins had resided in this community for the past 27 years and was a member of the Garden Street Methodist Church and the Mary circle of that church. Surviving relatives are two daughters, Miss Nora Cummins at home; Mrs. Grace L. Hanson, of Red Bluff, Calif.; four sons, Dr. E. J., of El Paso, Texas, Carl W. and Ray E., both of St. Paul, and Lee E., of Buffalo, Wyo.; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Tucker, of Wilmet, Ill., and Mrs. Bessie LaFrombois, of Flint, Mich.; and two brothers, Vida Bellman, of Flint, Mich, and Virgil Bellman, of Los Angeles, Calif. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth, where services will be conducted by the Rev. Daniel E. Taylor, Saturday, February 25, at 4:30 p.m. and will be forwarded to Groton, S. D. for interment.

CUMMINS, Lulu E., of 225 N. Garden street, passed away in a local hospital, Wednesday, August 18, (1948). Miss Cummins had resided in this community for the past two years and was a school teacher. Deceased was a member of the Garden Street Methodist Church, Pi Lamba Theta, an honorary education fraternity; National Educational Association, American Association of University women and the National Business and Professional Women's Club. Surviving relatives are her mother, Mrs. Lettie M., and one sister, Miss Nora B. Cummins, both at home, and another sister, Mrs. Grace L. Hanson of Red Bluffs, Calif.; four brothers, Carl W. and Ray E., both of St. Paul, Minn., Dr. E. J., of El Paso, Texas, and Lee E., of Buffalo, Wyoming. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted Friday, August 20, at 4:30 p.m. by Rev. Alexander P. Aiton and W. Carl Calhoun. Remains will be forwarded to Groton, South Dakota, for services and interment.

CUMMINS, Thomas A., age 77, of 2821 Grant St., Bellingham, passed away June 19, 1991 at St. Joseph Hospital after a long illness. He worked as a credit manager and enjoyed camping and fishing and was preceded in death by an infant daughter. He married his wife Ruth, in 1936 in Duluth, MN. He is survived by his wife Ruth of the family home; 2 sons, Gary and his wife Annette Cummins of Burlington and Dennis Cummins of California; one sister, Virginia Phillips of Tulsa, OK; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. CUMMINS, Verdun S., 66, of Portland, Ore., died Monday (May 21, 1984) at a local hospital. He was born Nov. 3, 1917, in Oregon. He is survived by his wife Daphne and locally by a son, William S. Cummins, Lummi Island. No services will be held. Arrangements are by Whatcom Cremation Association.

CUNDY, Rose C., age 90, passed away in a local Nursing Home on Monday, November 12, 1990. She leaves to survive her son Jack Verdon and daughter-in-law Marvell, of Bellingham; 4 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She spent all but the past five years of her life as a resident of Seattle. She was a past president of the Seattle Branch of the Spanish American War Veterans Women's Auxilary (sic), and a long-time member of the Royal Neighbors of America organization. CUNNINGHAM, Catherine, 84, of 1530 James St., died July 12, (1990) in Bellingham. She is survived by a son, Robert Merrifield of Bellingham; a daughter, Margaret Tingum, of Seattle; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Arrangements are pending with Westford Funeral Home.

CUNNINGHAM, Charlotte F. of Bellingham passed away April 19, 1997. She was born in Philadelphia in 1909. Charlotte and her husband, Wes (deceased), moved to Bellingham in 1979. Charlotte enjoyed gardening, sewing, doing craft work, and watching baseball, football and basketball games. She is survived by her daughter, Lyn Dyson of Bellingham, her son, Lee Cunningham of Everson, four grandchildren, Brad Dallas of Lynden, Leigh Ann Hokanson of Athens, Georgia, Mike Cunningham of Everson, Necia Dallas of San Francisco and four great-grandsons, Dirk, Tate, Gibb and Tack Dallas of Lynden. CUNNINGHAM, Clara Grace, age 87, 508 Chestnut, passed away at a local hospital, Sunday, January 20, (1946). Mrs. Cunningham was a member of the Presbyterian Church and leaves the following survivors: Two daughters, Mrs. Grace A. Milton and Mrs. Jacob Schmidt, of Bellingham; one son, James W. CUNNINGHAM, Don, aka "WoodEye" ended his ride Saturday, June 4th, 2005. He has resided in Southern California for the past two and a half years with his "life partner" Maryanne Martin. Don was born November 23, 1933 to Melvin and Lois Cunningham in Bellingham, Washington. A lifetime resident of Bellingham, Don graduated with the class of '51 from Bellingham High School. After returning from his tour with the U.S. Navy, he returned to Bellingham and worked a variety of jobs; as pipe fitter at Georgia Pacific, delivery driver with BP distributors and Bell Rainier, eventually retiring from Overall Laundry Services in 1991. Following retirement, Don volunteered each and every Friday as "Grampa Don" at Acme Elementary School, making a difference with countless kids. He was also a dedicated volunteer with SouthCoast Medical Center in Laguna Beach earning many red hearts. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Melvin and Lois Cunningham and Edith Cunningham. Don is survived by his two children, Jack Cunningham and wife Marty, Jill Reimers and husband Rick. Don's grandchildren Reid Miltenberger and wife Tricia, Ryder Cunningham and Brynn Miltenberger, Austin and Lindsay Reimers and great granddaughter Aima Miltenberger, all living in Bellingham. Sister Judy Winsor and husband Pat of Olympia, brother John Cunningham and wife Judy also of Bellingham. Best buddies, Chuck Held, and Bob (Bubba) Paulson from Van Zandt. Dad's gift to life was found in the way he treated everyone he met with warm and genuine interest. Everyone who met him would leave knowing that they were cared about. You felt truly important. The two loves of his life were taking a lap on his Harley and the lingering memory of a good home cooked meal. He often told his grandchildren how proud he was of each one of them - they were his backbone, his pride and joy. He took the time to let them know of his deep love and respect. This was his legacy, to love unconditionally. Don found the true love of his life at his 50th High School Reunion and created exciting and new lifelong memories. Venturing from Nugent's Corner all the way to Turkey, India, Mexico and Catalina Island he found excitement, comfort and joy exploring the world with Maryanne, his newly discovered partner. A funeral service for Don will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2005 at 2:00 at Greenacres Moles Funeral Home in Ferndale, with an open house celebration of Don's journey at Jack and Marty Cunningham's home in Bellingham from 4:00-7:00 p.m. the same day. Burial will take place Monday, June 13, at 10:00 a.m. at Greenacres Moles Cemetery.

CUNNINGHAM, Ernest R. - Area businessman Ernest R. Cunningham, 46, died following a motorcycle accident Thursday in Flathead County, Mont. Private family memorial services will be at a later date. Mr. Cunningham, 3827 Idaho St., was born March 7, 1944, in Missouri. In 1977 he moved from Colorado to Bellingham, where he was the owner and operator of Cunningham Dental Labs. He was a member of ABATE, a national motorcycle organization. CUNNINGHAM, Kate, age 72 years, beloved mother of Miss Alma Cunningham, passed away at the family home, Ferndale, Route 3, Monday, September 5, (1938) after a lingering illness. Mrs. Cunningham had resided in Whatcom county for the past twenty years and was a member of the Baptist Church in Missouri. Aside from her daughter, Mrs. Cunningham also leaves to survive seven sisters, Mrs. Mittle Murray, Mrs. Jessie Johnson, Miss Grace Bales, Mrs. Unice Hawkins, Gordon Bales, Miss Pearl Bales and Mrs. Bernice Smith, all residing in Missouri. The remains are resting at the Bingham-Dahlquist Funeral Home where private funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, September 7, at 10:30 o'clock, with Rev. James M. Wilson, pastor of St. James Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be made in Bay View Cemetery.

CUNNINGHAM, Lawrence, wounded veteran of World War II, with service as a chemist in the army in Africa and Italy, died Thursday (Feb. 24, 1949) morning in a local hospital. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Cunningham, and is survived by two brothers, James, of St. Louis, Mo.; and Dr. John J. Cunningham, Chicago, Ill. His home was at 1003 Irving street. Lawrence was a graduate of the Fairhaven high school in 1936, and was a student at the University of Washington when he entered service. He was a member of the Church of the Assumption. The remains rest at the Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns funeral home.

CUNNINGHAM, Marie Boyd, of Lynden died Monday, May 24, 1993, at Sehome Park Care Center. She was 91. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden. A memorial funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Lynden United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joyce O'Connor officiating. Burial will precede at Greenacres Memorial Park at 12:30 p.m. She was born Aug. 20, 1901, in Lincoln, Neb., to Thomas A. and Emma J. Cameron Boyd. She taught school for many years in California, moving to Whatcom County in 1959. She taught in the Lynden schools until her retirement. Mrs. Cunningham was a member of Lynden United Methodist Church; PEO Chapter EA,, Lynden Eastern Star Chapter No. 12, and the Amphiction Club. She enjoyed entertaining friends by playing the piano. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Laura McLain and Ruth Allinger. She is survived by cousins Robert Boyd of Tacoma, Lee Miles of Louistown, Ill., and Henry Shannon Boyd of Davenport, Iowa.

CUNNINGHAM, Nick A., age 55 passed away Thursday, September 1, 1988. Mr. Cunningham was born in Carson City, Nevada, December 23, 1932. He was a member of the Carpenters & Joiners Local 756, also belonged to, Birch Bay American Legion Post No. 86. He was a resident of Whatcom County since 1968 & was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran. CUPPLES, Cassius M. - Graveside services for Cassius M. Cupples, 85, a Bellingham resident for many years, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Concrete Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley until 1 p.m. Friday. Mr. Cupples died Monday (Sept. 30, 1991) at St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham. He was born on May 31, 1906, in Concrete to Samuel and Nora Cupples. He attended school in Concrete. In 1927, he married Ellen Olson in Whatcom County. She died in 1949. Mr. Cupples was a resident of Bellingham for nearly 70 years. He was employed as a coal miner by the Bellingham Coal Co. until the mine was closed. Survivors include three sons, Jack Cupples of Seattle, Dick Cupples of Bellingham and Gary Cupples of Seattle; two daughters, Peggy Rich of Prosser, and Delores Mezo of Deming; one sister, Dorothy Larsen of Utah; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

CUPPLES, Duke, age 56, of 2315 Williams St., in Bellingham, passed away in Bellingham Sat., Sept. 19, (1987). He was born May 9, 1931 in Bellingham and spent the last 10 years in Lynnwood. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver in construction. CURL, Clarence C., age 65, of 735 N. 148th Street, Seattle, passed away in a Seattle hospital Saturday, June 14, (1947). Mr. Curl had been a resident of this community for many years and had been employed at the Todd Shipyard in Seattle. CURL, Earnest William, age 75 of Connell, passed away Monday, August 13, 1990 at Othello Convalescent Center. Born January 27, 1915 in Bellingham, WA to Clearance (sic) and May Curl. He was raised in Bellingham until entering High School where graduated from Queen Anne High School in Seattle. He then returned to Bellingham where he worked as a postal clerk for 25 years. He married Maurine Irby on April 14, 1946 in Bellingham. He was very active in the Salvation Army in Bellingham. He retired several years ago due to poor health. They moved to Connell in May 1989 to be nearer their daughter. He was a member of the Salvation Army and the Nazarene Church. Survivors include his wife, Maurine of Connell, two sons Jerry Curl of Edmonds, WA, Bob Curl of Nampa, Idaho. One daughter Shirley Pence of Lind. Seven grandchildren. Sister Irene Hagen of Bettendorf, Iowa. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 16, 1990 at 10:30 a.m. at the Connell Church of the Nazarene, Reverend Stanley Unseth officiating. She had been a member of the community for the past 45 years; a member of the Garden Street Methodist Church and was active in the Garden Street Methodist Womens Circle. She was a 55 year member of the Nevada Chapter No. 53 O.E.S. in Nevada, Missouri and a member of the Navy Mothers Club. She is survived by 2 sons, Jack Coffman of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Dick Coffman of Nevada, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a niece Eddie Richards of Albuquerque, New Mexico. CURRAH, Barbara Brock, 53, of Everson, died Wednesday (Apr. 6, 1988) in Bellingham. Mrs. Currah was born April 9, 1934, in Montana and moved to Bellingham in 1939. She had lived in Everson for the last six months. Mrs. Currah was an active member of the Bellingham Alternate Humane Society. Survivors include a son, Dale Johnson, of Ferndale; her father, Cecil Brock, of Mount Vernon; a brother, Bert Brock, of Bellingham; two nieces and one nephew. Mrs. Curren was born May 18, 1911 in McClain Co., Blanchard, OK (d. Oct. 10, 1989). She was a Whatcom Co. resident since 1954. Prior to that she lived in Los Angeles, CA. She was an active member of First Christian Church of B'ham, and a member of the Ferndale Garden Club. Survivors include her husband Walter of 49 yrs; a son Allen Curren of Ferndale; daughter Ann & husband Harry Hall of Ferndale; 5 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren; a brother Major Robert C. Lane & wife Marchella of Virginia; sister Grace Griffin of B'ham; numerous nieces, nephews & other relatives.

CURREN, Penny J., 34, 5615 North Fork Road, Deming, died Saturday (July 5, 1986). She was born Jan. 12, 1952, in Bellingham and lived in Whatcom County most of her life. Survivors include her husband, Lonnie, of the family home; two children, Bryan Kuebler and Monica Kuebler, also of the family home; her parents, Frank and Jennessee Harkness, of Bellingham; two brothers, Frank R. Harkness, of Acme, and Kenny W. Harkness, of Bellingham; a sister Julies Harkness, of Bellingham; two grandmothers, Ethel Enger, of Sedro-Woolley, and Emma Kenny, of Bellingham; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. CURRIE, Alan A., age 71, a prominent Skagit Valley logging contractor, passed away in a local hospital Thursday, March 10, (1966). A resident of Sedro Woolley since 1902, he had made his home in Lynden for the past 1 1/2 years. He was a member of Sedro Woolley Lodge No. 93, F. & A. M., and Mount Vernon BPOE Lodge No. 1604. Surviving are his wife Maurine and a daughter, Mrs. Tom Springer, both of Lynden; a son, Donald of Seattle; 3 sisters, Mrs. Leone Benthien of Meridian, Idaho; Mrs. Florence Reilsback of Mesa, Arizona, and Mrs. Gertrude Dale of Chelan; also 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Lemley Chapel, Sedro Woolley, Saturday, March 12 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Carlos Shafer officiating. CURRIE, Nell, age 82, Sedro Woolley, passed away Sat., April 2, (1977) at United General Hospital. She was born May 28, 1894 in Bradgate, Iowa, the daughter of Fred & Mary Jane Marchant, she came with her parents to Burlington in 1900, her marriage to Hugh Currie took place April 23, 1913 in Burlington. Mr. Cirrie (sic) died in 1962. Mrs. Currie had attended the Baptist Church & was a member of the Sedro Woolley Garden Club. Surviving are 2 daughters; Mrs. Carl (Dorothy) Ziebell, Sedro Woolley & Mrs. Jack (Phyllis) Bradshaw, Monroe. 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandson & numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters & 6 brothers. Funeral services will be held Weds., April 6 at 2:30 p.m. at Hulbush Funeral Home with Rev. CURRIE, Stewart I. - Former Bellingham resident Stewart I. Currie, 68, died Wednesday (Nov. 8, 1989) in Eugene, Ore., after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Mr. Currie lived in Eugene, where he had been a social security representative before his retirement. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1939, attended Western Washington State College here before doing graduate work in theater at University of Denver. He participated in theater groups in Oregon for many years. Mr. Currie served as armaments officer for the Eighth Air Force fighter squadron in Europe during World War II. There are no survivors.

CURRIE, Violet Mary - Farewell to Violet Mary Currie, born in London, England, July 18th, 1903, passed away on October 27th, 1997. Violet's life was her home and family. CURRIER, Curtis M. of Bellingham, WA, passed away Sunday, October 26, 1997 in Bellingham. He was 26. Curt was born May 3, 1971, in Bar Harbor, Maine, to the Reverend Al and Edie (Wood) Currier. He was an avid sports fan who also enjoyed card collecting, computers, 1980's music, and reading. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1989 and from Whatcom Community College in 1997, where he was currently continuing his studies. He attended Advent Christian Church. Curt is survived by his parents, the Reverend Al and Edie Currier; brother Jeff Currier of Bellingham; sister Holly Currier of the family home; aunts, uncles, and cousins. CURRY, Madeline, age 95, of 1200 Indian St., passed away in a local hospital, Monday, March 9, (1959) following a short illness. Mrs. Curry had resided in Bellingham for the past nine years and was a former longtime resident of Orcas Island. She leaves to survive numerous relatives, including Mrs. Ellen Freckleton of Tacoma. She was 92, born January 21, 1912, in Merritt, B.C, Canada, to Margrate (McIntyre) and William Aitken. Jessie was a 50-year member of Eastern Star, Nooksack Chapter. CURTIS, Herbert D., age 84 years, 1503 E Street, this city, passed away Friday evening, April 12, (1946) after a brief illness. Mr. Curtis had resided in Bellingham for the past four years, previously having lived in Seattle for many years, where he had been an employe of the Great Northern and Northern Pacific railroads as switchman. Mr. Curtis was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge in Seattle, belonging to the encampment No. 2, Canton No. 3 and the subordinate lodge No. 7; also Rebekah lodge No. 40. Surviving relatives include the widow, Mrs. Florence Curtis, this city; two daughters, and two sons, Mrs. Clara Wood, of Walla Walla, Wash., Mrs. Birdie Hokenson, of Tacoma, Wash., Mr. George Curtis of Edmunds (sic), Wash., and Mr. Charles Curtis, of Buckley, Wash; also two step-sons and one step-daughter, Mr. Harvey Pinkerton, of Bellingham, Mr. Buford Pinkerton, of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Edith Bishop, of Las Vegas, Nev., and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The remains are resting at the Bingham-Dahlquist Funeral Home, and will be removed to Seattle, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 17, at 3 p.m. at the Home Undertaking Company of that city with Rev. G. D. O. Powers officiating, followed by ritualistic services of the I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 7. Interment in Washelli Cemetery.

Bishop, Fullerton, Calif.; five grandchildren; nice great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Munkres, city; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Buford Pinkerton, Lynwood. CURTIS, Louella, age 82, of 2801 Victor St., passed away at home Friday, August 11, (1961). A life resident of this community, Mrs. Curtis was a member of the Congregational Church; Holly Rebeckah Lodge No. 153; was a member of the Neighbors of Woodcraft and the Birchwood Garden Club; Daughters of Civil War Veterans and was a member of the Old Settler's Ass'n. Survivors are her husband, Sylvan, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Laura Matz, Mrs. Alice Evatt, and Mrs. Elma Pauley, all of Bellingham; one sister, Mrs. Shirl Alger, of Edmonds; one brother, Elver Follet, of Seattle; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. The remains reat at the Jones Funeral Home where services will be conducted by the Rev. Walter R. Naff and officers of Holly Rebekah Lodge 153, Monday, Aug. 14 at 4:30 p.m. followed by cremation.

CURTIS, Louisa Angelina, formerly of Highland Drive in Aberdeen, went home at last to her Lord on May 12, 2007. She spent her last days at St. Francis Care Center in Bellingham, WA. Louisa was born in Aberdeen in 1920 to Julius and Elida (Cantivo) Baila. She married Bud Curtis in Montesano in 1940. (Her uncle, John Baila, and his wife Rebecca, hosted the wedding dinner at their home on the Olympic Highway.) In 1942, Jerry Lynn Curtis, the couple's only child, was born. Jerry served as a Navy Seal; and for a time, he and his wife Janie operated a resort in Honduras, where Bud and Louisa enjoyed a visit. After Bud's death in 2002, Louisa relied on the kind helpfulness of wonderful neighbors, friends from church, and lifelong associates, until she was no longer able to stay in her home. At St. Francis in Bellingham she maintained her upright intensity, and the sweet surprise of her smile through the lonely months. Louisa is survived by her granddaughter Padgett (husband Matthew Mason) and great-grandson Will Mason of San Diego; a niece Patti Baila of Seattle; and several second cousins including Richard Baila of Bellingham. She had corresponded for a long time with her mother's niece, Aida, back in the northern Italian town of Ternate, from which the Bailas and Cantivos first came to America. Louisa will be entombed with her beloved husband, Earl "Bud" Curtis, at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen. A Memorial Service will be held on July 7, 2007 in Aberdeen. CURTIS, Margaret E. (Ederer), age 94, of Bellingham, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1992 at a local nursing care facility. Mrs. Curtis was born on Dec. 3, 1897 [to Daniel & Ellen Lane] in Boston, Mass., and married her first husband, Joseph Ederer in 1919. Mr. Ederer died in 1947. In 1951 she married her second husband, Edward Curtis, who preceded her in death in 1974. Mrs. Curtis was a member of the Assumption Parish, Catholic Daughters, past president of VFW Ladies' Auxiliary #1585, past president of the Disabled American Veterans, WWI Barracks. She also enjoyed music and traveling. Mrs. Curtis is also preceded in death by a son, Harry Ederer of Bellingham, and a grandson, Steven Kennedy, also of Bellingham. She is survived by 2 daughters, Lucille Taylor and husband Allen of Bellingham, and Eleanor Kennedy and husband Roy, also of Bellingham; 12 grandchildren, Suzane Jenkins and husband Milton of Mt. Vernon, Paul Kennedy and wife Norma of Kent, Tom Kennedy and wife Renee of Ferndale, Jim Kennedy of Bellingham, Robert Taylor and wife Bonnie of Everson, Dan Taylor and wife Dorothy of Clear Lake, Ron Taylor and wife Nora of Bellingham, Peggy Gerner of Deming, Michael Ederer of Bellingham, Joanne Seversen of Bellingham, Joe Ederer of Deming, Patty Samuelson, of Bellingham; 14 great-grandchildren. CURTIS, Patty H., age 41, passed away in a Bellingham hospital, April 1, (1977). She was born in Bellingham September 15, 1935. She received her schooling on Orcas Island and Everett Community College of Nursing. Worked in Bellingham for a short time before returning to Orcas Island where she lived the rest of her life. She was an active member of the Orcas Island Community Church, Rebeckah Lodge & Orcas Garden Club. Survived by her husband, Robert of East Sound; 3 sons, Bill of Deer Harbor, Bart and Bret at home. CURTIS, Ralph W., 2319 Alabama Street, passed away on the Lummi Reservation Friday, October 17, (1941). Deceased was a grocer 40 years of age and had resided here for nineteen years, and was a member of the Musicians Union No. 461. Surviving relatives are his mother, Mrs. Lee Jones, Snohomish, Wash.; three brothers, Jerry L., of this city; LeRoy at Snohomish, and W. CURTISS, Jean F., age 76, of Bellingham, WA, passed away at home with her family by her side on Sunday, January 11, 1998. Mrs. Curtiss was born November 2, 1921, to Elmer and Hazel (Reade) Funk in Nora, Nebraska, and attended the University of Nebraska. On January 23, 1944, she married Elmer "Curt" Curtiss in Lincoln, Nebraska. She worked in Seattle and Orcas Island in banking and insurance. A local resident since 1987, she belonged to P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter F, Bellingham, was a member of the Bellingham Athletci Club, and was a volunteer at the Whatcom Museum, St. Joseph Hospital, and the Women's Care Shelter. She enjoyed walking, reading, Orcas Island sunsets, and Huskey football. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1967 and sister Nona King of Medford, OR, in 1997. Survivors include her daughter Diane Curtiss of Bellingham; son Michael Curtiss of Everett, WA; 2 grandchildren, Eric and Keven Curtiss; sisters, Betty D'Andrea of Lake Chelan, WA, Barbara Kooren of Seattle, WA; brothers, Bernard Funk of Seattle, WA, Clinton Funk of McMinnville, OR; numerous nieces and nephews. CURTRIGHT, Kyle Nicholas, age 8 months, infant son of Steven and Kathleen Curtright, of 2428 Lyn Court, Custer, passed away Friday, January 6, 1984. CURZON, Gordon Anthony - Former Bellingham resident Gordon Anthony Curzon died Monday, April 14, 1997, at his home in Redlands, Calif. He was 78. Born March 14, 1919, in Sutton in Surrey, England, he emigrated to the United States as a child and became a naturalized U.S. citizen. He received a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from DePaul University in Chicago. He also studied for the priesthood at St. Mary's Seminary in St. Louis, but was not ordained. After seminary, he moved to Bellingham where he worked as research chemist at Puget Sound Pulp and Timber Co., now Georgia-Pacific West Inc. In Bellingham he met and married Clara Jean Curzon. She died in November 1996. Mr. Curzon returned to graduate school, receiving a master's degree in English from Western Washington University in 1965. He received a doctorate in English literature from the University of California at Riverside in 1969, writing his dissertation on utopian literature. He also studied several languages, including Latin, biblical Hebrew and Greek, German, French and Chinese. He taught at College of the Desert in Palm Springs, Calif. In 1970, he joined the English department at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. In 1985, as a Fulbright scholar, he taught for a semester in London. He retired in 1989, moving to Redlands four years later. A widely published poet, Mr. Curzon co-founded the California State Poetry Society and was a founding editor of California State Poetry Quarterly. A volume of his poetry, "Trienergy," was published in 1986. He was working on a second collection of poems when he died. Survivors include his children, Elliott Curzon of Alexandria, Va., Rebecca Curzon of Concord, Mass., Peter Curzon of Concord, Calif., and Christopher Curzon of Monrovia, Calif., and five granddaughters.

CUSH, Amelia, age 74, of the Lummi Reservation, passed away at her home Monday morning, August 14, (1950) following a lingering illness. Mrs. Cush was the daughter of Chief David Crockett, first Catholic chief of the Lummi tribe. She had been a resident of the Lummi Reservation her entire life and was a member of the St. Joachims Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Surviving relatives include numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 19, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joachims Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. James Buck officiating. Interment in the Lummi Cemetery under the direction of the Monroe Mortuary in Ferndale.

CUSH, Norbert, 31, of 1114 Ellis St., passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, (1957) as a result of a highway accident. Mr. Cush had been a resident of Whatcom County his entire lifetime and served in the U. CUSHENBERY, Robert Edward, of 1221 Northwind Circle died Saturday, Feb. 5, 1994, at his home. He was 77. At his request, no services will be held. Born April 16, 1916, in Franklin, Ky., he lived in Whatcom County since 1992. A real estate agent, he married Olive L. Langher on May 20, 1939, in Chicago. CUSIN, Albert Lawrence "Buster" age 82 of 1738 E. Main St., Lynden, passed away Tues., Feb. 19, 1991, at home. He was born April 24, 1908 in Lynden to Justin and Mary Cusin and was a lifetime resident of Lynden. Mr Cusin was a potato grower and a member of the Certified Seed Potato Growers Commission and partner in the Model Grocery Store in Lynden for many years. In 1945, he married Alice Hanson in Seattle. She preceded him in death in 1987. Mr. Cusin is survived by his daughter, Margo Cusin of Edmonds; sister Justine Read of Lynden and numerous nieces and nephews. CUSIN, Alice M. - Funeral services for Mrs. Alice M. CUSTER, Charles H., age 62, resident of Mt. Vernon, died at Skagit Valley Hospital, Tuesday Morning, July 13, 1982. He was born May 15, 1920, at Seattle, Wash. He was a retired captain of the Mt. Vernon Police Department. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon Elks Lodge, VFW post No. 933, Skagit Valley College Booster Club, past director of Washington State Babe Ruth Assc., past official of baseball & basketball, Veteran of U. S. Army WWII. CUTTS, Bernis H., born June 10, 1921, in Winthrop, WA passed on May 14, 1997, at his longtime home in Bellingham, WA. Bernie is survived by his son, Daniel W. Cutts and spouse Barbara, and grandson Joshua and spouse Rebecca Pezzullo. Son, Randy R. Cutts and granddaughters Josie and Chelsie. Daughter Lonnie L. Cutts and granddaughter Ondia. Daughter Penny G. Childs and spouse Don, and grandchildren Bill and Elizabeth. Bernie grew up on a horse ranch in Winthrop and graduated from Prosser High School in 1939. In 1940 he joined the Washington National Guard and served honorably in the United States Army in the South Pacific, until his medical discharge in 1943. During his lifetime Bernie worked for the U.S. Forest Service at Lookout Mountain, a lineman for Rural Electric Assn., an operator at the Hanford Atomic Works, a United States Merchant Mariner, and supervised the construction and operations of diesel and hydro electric power plants throughout the world, including Turkey, American Samoa, Nome, Alaska, and Mt. Rainier National Park. Bernie was dearly loved and will be missed. At his request, no memorial service will be held. Arrangements by Jones-Moles Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

CUYLER, Barbara Ann, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard V. Cuyler, of 1710 Dakin Street, passed away at a local hospital Thursday, Oct. 28, (1954). Besides the parents she is survived by two sisters, Ellen and Joyce, both at home; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Cuyler, of Olympia, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. CYR, Bert P., 428 15th St. passed away Saturday (Dec. 2, 1972). Mr. Cyr, 75, was a partner in the Cyr Brother's Dairy and a member of Fairhaven Lodge 73, F&AM. He was a member of Albert J. Hamilton Post 7, American Legion and a veteran of WWI. Survivors include his widow, Mildred; a son, LeRoy, of Bellingham; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Robinson, Ashland, Oregon; and five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

CYR, Elmer Thomas, aged 53 years, passed away at a local hospital Friday, April 13, (1945). Mr. Cyr was co-owner of the Cyr Brothers dairy and had lived in Bellingham for the past 20 years. Sharon Hare Officiating. Pvt. burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Cyr was born in the former Woolley, WA on May 10, 1896, a daughter of Elwood and Emily Boucher McElhoe. She came to Everson at the age of 6 months and in Everson on June 16, 1914 she was married to Elmer T. Cyr. They lived in Kelso for 6 years and then returned to Everson where Katherine owned and operated Katherine's Apparel for many years. She attended Everson Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Lynden VFW Auxiliary and the Everson Orthopedic Guild. She was also very active in the Everson Senior Center. Mr. Cyr passed away in 1945 and Katherine is survived by her 2 sons; Douglas Cyr and wife Jeanie of Everson and Harry Cyr and wife Rhoda of Oak Harbor; 8 grandchildren, Peggy Haugen, Clark Cyr, Linda Boyle, Jane Koetje, Mary Jo Leganer, Kathy Paton, Jay Cyr, Tom Cyr. 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by daughter Margaret Clulow in 1961 and son Bert Cyr in 1976. Services and arrangements are under the care of Gillies Funeral Home of Lynden.

CYR, Harry W. - Private graveside services were held for Harry W. Cyr at Nooksack Cemetery. Mr. Cyr died Thursday, Dec. 4, 1997, at Whidbey Island Manor in Oak Harbor. He was 70. Born Sept. 23, 1927, to Elmer and Katherine (McElhoe) Cyr, he lived most of his live in Whatcom County. He married Rhoda Hawley on March 30, 1947, in Bellingham, and they farmed in the county until 1970. They moved to Oak Harbor in 1990. Survivors include his wife of the family home in Oak Harbor; son Thomas Cyr of Seattle, daughters Linda Boyle of Monroe, Jane Koetje of Greenbank, Mary Jo Leganger of Vancouver, B. C.; brother Douglas Cyr of Everson; and five grandchildren. Arrangements were by Burley Funeral Chapel in Oak Harbor.

CYR, LeRoy, 73, of 841 Old Samish Road, died March 7, 1992, in the burn center at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Mr. Cyr suffered serious burns Feb. 27 in Bellingham. He was born March 9, 1918 in Lawton, Okla., to Bert and Mildred (Dunn) Cyr. He had lived in Bellingham for 67 years and enjoyed golf and fishing. He married Norah Davis April 7, 1939 in Bellingham. Mr. Cyr served in the U. S. Army and was a World War II veteran. For many years he owned the Triple X Barrel drive-in restaurant. In 1961, he took over management of the Mount Baker Ski Lodge until his retirement. He was a member of William Matthews Post No. 1585 Veterans of Foreign Wars and Albert J. Hamilton Post No. 7 American Legion. Survivors include four daughters, Norah Smith, Penny Merrell, Wendee and Tracie Cyr; a son Phil Cyr; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; all of Bellingham. He was preceded in death by his wife. Friends are invited to gather from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Penny Merrell, 428 15th St. Cremation and arrangements are by Jones-Moles Funeral Home.

CYR, Mildred M., age 78 of 428 15th St. passed away Sat. Aug. 4, (1979). Mrs. Cyr was a 52 year resident of this community. A member of Sehome Chapter No. 17, O.E.S. and Auxiliary of Albert J. Hamilton Post No. 7, American Legion. She is survived [by] a son LeRoy of City, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Dennis and Rodney Dunn both of Portland. Services Wed. CYR, Orcelia E., 82 years of Route 2, Sultan, passed away Nov. 7, (1977) in Monroe. She was born July 4, 1895 and has lived in the Sultan area for the past 35 years. Her survivors include 3 sons, Joe and Virgil both of Seattle and Clayton "Bud" of Sultan and her brother John Lamoureaux of Bellingham; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Services Friday, 1 p.m. at Purdy & Kerr Funeral Home with interment in Sultan.

CYR, Tate, 16 of 7611 Summitview, Yakima, died Aug. 16, (1981) as a result of an automobile accident. He was born May 27, 1965 in Abbotsford, B. C. Survived by his parents Richard & Dianne Cyr of Yakima; 1 brother, Randall Cyr & 1 sister, Lisa Cyr, both of Yakima; grandparents Donald & Audrey Cyr of Sutherlin, Oregon & Carl & Alice Sund of Abbotsford, B.C.; several aunts, uncles & cousins. Funeral services will be held Wed., Aug. 19 at 1 p.m. in the Keith & Keith 9th Avenue Chapel, Yakima. Burial will be in West Hills Memorial park, Yakima.

CZAPAZYS, Margery - Memorial services were held Nov. 29, (1975) at Riverview Chapel in Portland, Oregon for Margery Myers Czapazys. She graduated from Mt. Baker High School where she was an honor student, active in musical affairs and was sought after as a pianist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from the University of Washington and taught in the Crescent School District and later in Salem. Her husband is Burt Anthony Czapszys (sic) and she had 3 daughters, Marina, Clarina and Natasha and a son, Burt Audry. Her parents are Jack and Laura Myers of Sedro Woolley, Washington. Her sister is Carlene Prendergast of Palos Verdes, Calif.

CZENKUSCH, Anna B. - Funeral services for Mrs. Anna B. Czenkusch, of 930 West Badger Road, Lynden, were conducted on Wednesday, April 18, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Gillies Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Cammenga officiating. Burial followed in Monumenta Cemetery. Mrs. Czenkusch, who died on Sunday, April 15, (1979) had been a lifetime Whatcom County resident, attended the Second Christian Reformed Church and was married to her husband, Leland, in Bellingham on November 15, 1947. Besides her husband Leland, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Clara Wilhide of Garden Grove, California and a niece, Mrs. Delores Baker also in California.

CZENKUSCH, Augusta, age 94 years, of Route 1, Lynden, passed away Thursday, October 24, (1946) at her home following a short illness. She had lived in the Lynden district for the past thirty-four years and is survived by one daughter, Miss Lena Czenkusch, at home; two grandsons, Raymond, of Route 1, Lynden, Leland, in the East; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 28, at 2 p.m. from the Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden with Rev. F. M. Nitz, of Bellingham, officiating. Interment in the Monumenta Cemetery.

CZENKUSCH, Leland G., age 59 of 930 W. Badger Rd., Lynden, passed away in a Bellingham hospital on Monday, September 20, 1982. Born (Feb. 22, 1923) in Amherst, Nebraska. Mr. Czenkusch had been a county resident for most of his life. He had been employed as a custodian at the Bellingham Yacht Club and was a member of the Culinary Workers and Bartender Union Local No. 451 in Bellingham. He was married to his wife Anna November 15, 1947 in Bellingham. Mrs. Czenkusch died in 1979. He is survived by a brother ray; a niece Mrs. Vilnora Kimpson and a nephew Ray Czenkusch both in Spokane. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thurs. Sept. 23 at 11 a.m. in Monumenta Cemetery,
