NOTAR, Frank, age 88, of 1200 Birchwood, passed away Wed., Feb. 1, (1978). He had been a resident of this community for the past 55 years, was a member of SNJP Lodge & United Mine Worker's Union. Surviving 2 daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Swanson and Mrs. May Sprague, both of Bellingham; 2 sisters, Mrs. Maude Mathews of Vancouver, Wash. and Mrs. Rose Ella Kuchin of Roslyn, Wash.; 2 grandchildren, Mrs. Avalea Watts, City and Frank Sprague, Lynden; 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Service Monday, Feb. 6, 3 p.m., Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Verne Tedder officiating. Private interment at Greenacres Memorial Park.

NOTDURFT, Carl, 26, Burnaby, B. C., died Monday (Nov. 12, 1979) from injuries sustained in a car accident near Glacier. He had been a laborer for the city of Vancouver. Burial will be on Friday at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Burnaby, B. C. Local arrangements are being handled by Jones Funeral Home.

NOTEBOOM, Anna, age 86, formerly of 1208 Main St., Lynden, passed away in a Lynden nursing home on Sun. Aug. 9, 1981. Born in Hull, N. Dakota (Oct. 3, 1894), Mrs. Noteboom moved to the Lynden area in 1910. She had attended the Lynden Nazarene Church and is survived by a son, Howard Blankenforth of Lynden; 2 sisters, Mrs. Jeanette & husband Bert Brune and Mrs. Cora & husband Jack Troost all of Lynden; a brother, Mr. Bill Radder of Bellingham; and numerous nieces & nephews. Graveside services will be conducted on Wed. Aug. 12 at 2 p.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends wishing may call at the Gillies Funeral Home until 1 p.m. Wed.

NOTEBOOM, Arie, age 60, of 1407 Front St., Lynden, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Oct. 26, (1961). Mr. Noteboom had been a resident of Whatcom County since 1928 and since 1937 had made his home in Lynden and had been employed in the men's department of the Lynden Department Store for the past 23 years. He was a member of the Third Christian Reformed Church. Surviving are his wife, Alice; three daughters, Mrs. Herman VanderGriend, Mrs. Dale VanKooten and Mrs. Don Roosendaal; one sister, Mrs. Henry J. Rozeboom; his father, Peter Noteboom, all of Lynden, also nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Third Christian Reformed Church, Monday, Oct. 30, at 1:30 p.m., Rev. Walter Ackerman officiating. Burial will follow in the Monumenta Cemetery under the direction of the Gillies Funeral Home.

NOTEBOOM, Gerrit, age 85, Rt. 1, Lynden, passed away in a local rest home Sunday, March 29, (1964) following an extended illness. He was a retired farmer and had made his home in the Lynden area since 1906. He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Lynden. Surviving are his wife, Anna; 2 sons, Bud and Bob, both of Lynden; 2 daughters, Mrs. George VanderMey of Everson and Mrs. Bob Van Weerdhuizen of Ferndale; one stepson, Howard Blankenforth of Lynden; 3 sisters, Mrs. Hattie Reinstra, Mount Vernon; Mrs. Peter Kraght, Lynden; Mrs. Nellie VanderMeer, Sunnyside; also 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the First Reformed Church Thursday, April 2 at 2 p.m. with Rev. William Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Monumenta Cemetery under the direction of Gillies Funeral Home.

NOTEBOOM, Hilda C., age 61 of Lynden Rt. 3, passed away at her home Saturday, July 9, (1955) following a lingering illness. She had resided in the Lynden district for the past 26 years. She leaves to survive her husband Abe, three sons, Russell, LeRoy and Cornelius all of the Lynden district; five grandchildren, one brother Axel T. Johnson of Willmar, Minn. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 12 at 2 p.m. from the First Reform Church in Lynden with Rev. Harold Hesselink officiating. Interment Monumenta Cemetery under the direction of the Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden.

NOTEBOOM, Nellie, age 80, of Lynden, passed away at her home Saturday, January 9, (1954) following a short illness. Mrs. Noteboom had been a resident of Lynden for the past 15 years. She is survived by her husband, Peter; one daughter, Mrs. Henry Rozeboom and one son Arie, both of Lynden; one sister Mrs. Herman DeBoer of Holland, Mich., two brothers, John and George Koppedrajir of Iowa; also five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 12, at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church in Lynden under the direction of Gillies Funeral Home, with the Rev. Louis Voskuil officiating. NOTEBOOM, Peter, age 87, formerly of 1031 Edson Street in Lynden, passed away in the Lynden Christian Rest Home Tuesday, Oct. 8, (1963) following a short illness. A resident of Lynden for the past 25 years, he was a retired landscape gardener. He was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Henry Rozeboom of Lynden; one brother, Frank Noteboom and one sister, Mrs. Mary Cleveringa, both of Orange City, Iowa; also 5 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be held in the First Christian Reformed Church Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bernard Byma officiating. Burial will follow in the Monumenta Cemetery under the direction of the Gillies Funeral Home.

NOTEBOOM, William C., age 71 of Route 2, Lynden, passed away suddenly Friday, March 22, (1963). A retired farmer he had made his home in Lynden since 1906 and had served with the U. S. Army during W. W. I. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lynden, was board member of the Lynden Christian Rest Home and had been clerk for the Lynden Township for over 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Hilda, 3 sons, William H. of Longview, Donald of Everson and James of Pullman, 2 daughters, Mrs. Richard Nowadnick of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Gerrit Neevel of Richmond Beach, 3 sisters, Mrs. Nellie VanderMeer of Sunnyside, Mrs. Peter Kragt of Lynden, Mrs. Hattie Reinstra of Mt. Vernon, 2 brothers, Gerrit and Abe both of Lynden, also 17 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the First Reformed Church, Monday, March 25 at 3 p.m. Rev. Carl Lindstrom officiating. Burial will follow in the Monumenta Cemetery under the direction of the Gillies Funeral Home.

NOTTIER, Frederick John, age 69, of Lynden, passed away at a local hospital, Sunday, March 30, (1947). Mr. Nottier had resided in this county the past forty-seven years and was custodian at the Lynden City park when stricken. Deceased was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Bellingham Aerie No. 31, and leaves the following survivors: the widow, Olive at home; two sons, Vernon at Malaga, Wash., and Melvin at Ferndale; also one daughter, Mrs. Wilbur Starry, Bellingham, and eight grandchildren. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. Clarence Haugen, Tuesday, April 1, at 1:30 p.m. Final resting place, Greenacres Memorial Park.

NOTTIER, Melvin A., age 67 of 3794 Lummi Park, Lummi Island, passed away Dec. 21, (1975). Mr. Nottier had been a lifetime Whatcom County resident. Surviving sister, Mildred Hanson of Bellingham; his mother, Mrs. Olive Nottier of Bellingham; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services Wed., Dec. 24 at 1 p.m. in Greenacres Memorial Park with Rev. Bobby Edwards officiating. Friends wishing to attend may meet at Jones Funeral Home 1/2 hour earlier.

NOUWENS, Adrian - Visitation for Adrian Nouwens of Lynden will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at Gillies Funeral Home. Burial will be at 1:15 p.m. Thursday in Monumenta Cemetery, followed by a funeral at 2 p.m. at Second Christian Reformed Church. Mr. Nouwens died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1977. He was 97. Born July 3, 1900, to Peter and Johanna Treffers Nouwens in Holland, he moved to the Lynden area at the age of 9. He married Bessie Brunger April 14, 1927, in Lynden. She died in 1979. He married Winifred DeKuber in 1980 in Lynden. She died in 1987. Mr. Nouwens operated a dairy farm near Ferndale for many years and worked at Brooks Manufacturing and Whatcom County Road Department. After retiring from farming, he moved to Lynden and worked as a custodian at Northwest Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospital. Mr. Nouwens was a member of Second Christian Reformed Church. He also was preceded in death by sister Pearl Heutink and half-brother John Treffers. Survivors include sons Preston Nouwens of Tracy, Calif., and Gerald Nouwens of Bothell; daughters Gladys Heinrichs of Tracy, Dorothy Ruswick of Blaine and Bernice Yarborough of Fremont, Calif.; stepdaughters Nellie Knudzen, Betty Weg and Joan DeBoer, all of Lynden; stepsons Dennis DeKubber of Lynden and Jack DeKubber of Snohomish; and numerous other relatives.

NOUWENS, Bessie, age 79 of 113 W. Grover St., Lynden, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 1979. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Nouwens moved with her family to Denver and then to Whatcom County, where she had resided for the past 65 years. A member of the Second Christian Reformed church of Lynden, has also been a member of the Bellingham Senior Citizens Activity Center. She was married to her husband, Adrian in Lynden on April 14, 1927. She is survived by her husband, Adrian; 2 sons, Gerald of Bothell, Preston of Calgary, Alberta; 4 daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Ruswick of Custer, Mrs. Gladys Heinrick of Pleasanton, Calif., Mrs. Bernice Yarborough of Freemont, Calif., Mrs. Nellie Knudzen of Lynden; 18 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a brother, Pete Brunger of Bellingham; numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. in the Second Christian Reformed Church, with Rev. Andrew Cammenga officiating. Burial will follow in Monumenta Cemetery, under the direction of the Gillies Funeral Home.

NOVAK, John G., age 73, of 1745 King St., passed away Tues. May 16, 1978. Mr. Novak had resided in this community the past 7 years. NOXON, Frank, age 62, who resided at 1228 North State Street, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18th, (1962) in a local hospital, following a brief illness. Mr. Noxon was a retired painter. He leaves to survive one brother Lester W. Noxon, of Woodville, N. H. Rev. Myron D. NOYER, Raymond "Pete," age 57, of the Caribou Hotel in Sumas, passed away suddenly Wednesday, September 9, (1964). A resident of Sumas for the past 2 months, he had been a longtime resident of the Wenatchee area and at the time of his death was operating the Caribou Cafe at Sumas. He leaves to survive his wife, Lola; 2 sons, Tommie of Orville, California and Pete Jr., of Marysville, California; 4 stepsons, James Barr and Jerry Barr, both of Seattle; Larry Barr of Sumas and John Barr of Wenatchee; also five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Gillies Funeral Home in Sumas Saturday, September 12 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Stanley Kuntz officiating. Burial will follow in the Sumas Cemetery.

NUBGAARD, Eddie O. - Funeral services were held Friday in Lynnwood for Eddie O. Nubgaard, a former resident of the Ferndale and Bellingham vicinities. Mr. Nubgaard was past member of the Bellingham Yacht Club and a member of the Seattle Elks Club Lodge No. 92 and Moose Lodge No. 211. He is survived by two brothers, Oliver of Everett, Newman of Ferndale; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Anderson of Bellingham, Mrs. John Larson, Sumner, Mrs. Gertie Pheifer of Kent and numerous nephews and nieces. NUBGAARD, Edel, 87, of Ferndale passed away Monday, October 6, (1969) at Federal Way. A resident of the Ferndale community for 45 years, Mrs. Nubgaard was a member of the Triumph Lutheran church. She is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Gertie Phiefer of Kent, Mrs. Esther Anderson of Bellingham, and Alice Larsen of Sumner, 3 sons Newman of Ferndale, Oliver of Everett, and Eddie of Seattle; 3 sisters; Mrs. Minnie Willand of Ferndale, Mrs. Stella Utseth of Bellingham and Miss Dagne Berg of Seattle, 1 brother, Conrad of Hatton, N.D. 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday October 11 at 1:30 p.m. in Moles Funeral Chapel, Rev. Jay Erickson officiating. Interment Woodlawn cemetery.

NUBGAARD, Olef N., age 86 years, of Ferndale, passed away in Bellingham, Thursday, May 5, (1960) following an extended illness. Mr. Nubgaard had been a resident of Ferndale for the past 36 years and was a member of the First Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Edel; three daughters, Mrs. Gertie Pheifer of Kent, Mrs. Esther Andersen of Ferndale, and Mrs. Alice Larson of Seattle; three sons, Newman of Ferndale, Oliver of Marysville and Eddie of Seattle; one brother, Nels Nubgaard of Mabel, Minn.; also 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted in the Moles' Monroe Chapel in Ferndale, Monday, May 9, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. E. P. Dreyer officiating. Final resting place in the family plot at Woodlawn Cemetery.

NUEMAN, Augusta, age 99, a former Blaine resident, passed away at the home of a nephew, William Lang, Route 2, Bellingham, Monday, February 26, (1951) following a lingering illness. Mrs. Neuman had been a resident of the Blaine community for the past 42 years. Other surviving relatives include a niece, Mrs. Freda Koerner and a nephew, Fred Lang, both of Bellingham. Services will be conducted within the Chapel of the McKinney Funeral Home in Blaine Thursday, March 1, at 2 p.m. The remains will be interred in the Mausoleum at the Blaine Cemetery.

NUGEN, D. R., Dr., age 66 years, of Sumas, passed away at a local hospital Friday, Oct. 8, (1954) following a short illness. Dr. Nugen came to Sumas in 1918 where he practiced medicine until the time of his illness. He is survived by his wife, Naomi; four brothers, Roy of Indianapolis; John, brank (sic) and Dr. Harold Nugen, all of Auburn, Ind.; two sisters, Hazel Rowley of Auburn, Ind., and Lelan Jentoft of Cleveland, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 12, at 2 p.m. from the Gillies Funeral Home at Sumas with the Rev. Ralph Walmer officiating. Interment Greenacres Memorial Park.

NUGEN, Naomi, age 66 of Sumas died Sunday, January 11, (1959) in a Bellingham hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Nugen was the widow of Dr. Dorcie Nugen, pioneer physician of Sumas, whose death occurred in December, 1954. She had lived in Sumas since 1918, and was a member of the Double A Club. Survivors are a brother, J. C. Brady of Independence, Kan., and four brothers-in-law in the Middle West. Funeral services will be conducted in the Gillies Funeral Home in Sumas Thursday, January 15 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Marmaduke Dodsworth officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenacres Memorial Park.

NUGENT, Grant, age 53, of 2529 Lincoln Street, passed away in Port Townsend, Tuesday, April 12, (1955). Mr. Nugent had lived his entire life in Bellingham and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving relatives include one son, Pvt. Henry LeRoy Nugent in the U. S. Army; three daughters, Mrs. Neysa C. Longmire of Seattle, Mrs. Bethel Farrell of Hadlock, Wash., and Mrs. Thurza Gaskill of Bellingham; 10 grandchildren; four brothers, Herschell of Maple Falls, Pete, Lyle, and Leslie all of Bellingham; two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Hardan of Seattle and Mrs. Libbie McSorley of Bellingham; numerous nieces and nephews. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by Dr. Charles Durden, Friday, April 15, at 10:30 a.m. Final resting place Bay View.

NUGENT, Irene E., age 64 of 1808 J St., passed away Monday, October 31, (1966). Mrs. Nugent was a life resident of Bellingham and a member of the Church of the Assumption and the St. Francis Cabrini Circle and the Third Order of Dominicans. She leaves to survive her husband, Lyle A., at home; 2 daughters, Mrs. Patricia Tarte of city;; Mrs. Darlene Flaherty of Ferndale; 8 grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. Mary Ehle and 1 brother, Albert McSorley, both of this city, many nieces and nephews. Rosary will be said Wednesday, November 2 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of the Westford Funeral Home. Requiem mass will be offered Thursday, November 3 at 10 a.m. from the Church of the Assumption. NUGENT, Lila S. Vander Brink, 91, 409 York St., died Thursday. Mrs. Nugent was born June 16, 1900, in Annandale, Minn. She moved to Snohomish County in 1910 and to Lynden in 1912. She was a member of Silver Beach Community Church. Survivors include her son Glenn Vander Brink of Bellingham; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are by Jones-Moles Funeral Home.

NUGENT, Lyle A., 73, of 1500 E. Victor Street in Bellingham, passed away Saturday evening, July 3, (1976) after an extended illness. Mr. Nugent was born on Lummi Island and was a lifetime resident of Whatcom County. He was a member of Senior's Citizen's Activity Center of Ferndale. He is survived by his wife Lila, daughters Darleen Flaherty, of Ferndale, and Patricia Tarte, of Bellingham, a brother, Leslie Nugent of Ferndale, 2 sisters, Libby McSorely of Lynden, and Beulah Hardan, of Seattle, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Prayer services will be held at Westford Funeral Home, 7:30 Wednesday evening. Funeral will be conducted by Father Callahan, 10 a.m., Thursday morning at the Assumption Church in Bellingham.

NUGENT, William Thomas, of Lummi Shore Road, passed away Tuesday, April 27, (1953). Mr. Nugent had resided in Whatcom County for the past three years. He was formerly from Portland. He was a veteran of World War I and II. He is a member of the American Legion Navy Post 101, 40 and 8 Voiture Local No. 25, and the Portland fire department. He is survived by his wife, Caroline; one son, William Thomas Jr., of Portland; one grandson, James Bruce Nugent, of Portland; one sister, Mrs. Clara Bryant, of Everett, and many other relatives. Services will be conducted Friday, May 1, at 10:30 a.m. in the Cathedral Chapel of the Westford-Beck Funeral [type set error] Webb, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, officiating, followed by the military services of the American Legion. NULLE, Alice M., 67, 2921 Meridian St., who was killed in an auto accident near Tacoma Sunday, will be held 1 p. m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church in Bellingham under direction of Kern Funeral Home of Mount Vernon. Burial will be at Greenacres Memorial Park. Mrs. Nulle was a member of Sehome Chapter OES and the Amaranth.

NULLE, Chris, age 76, of 1309 10th St., passed away at his home Tuesday, Nov. 10, (1959). Mr. Nulle had resided in Bellingham for the past 65 years and was a retired piledriver operator for PAF. He leaves to survive three nephews, Donald Nulle of Mount Vernon and Phillip and Robert Nulle, both of this city; also one niece, Mrs. Ruth Pride, city. The funeral arrangements are pending at the Westford Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Westford Funeral Home with Rev. NULLE, Henry, age 75, of 1359 Northwest Road, passed away suddenly Friday, March 30, (1951) while on a fishing trip. Mr. Nulle had been a resident of the county since 1888 and a resident of the North Bellingham district since 1918. Surviving relatives include two sons, Phillip, of 1518 Larson Road, and Robert of 1359 Northwest Road; two brothers, Dick and Chris, both of Bellingham; and one grandson. Services will be conducted within the Chapel of the Monroe Mortuary in Ferndale, Monday, April 2, at 2 p.m. Interment in Bay View Cemetery.

NULLE, Philip H., 57, 1136 W. Smith Rd., died in a local hospital May 15, (1972). An employee of Whatcom County Road Department since 1955, Mr. Nulle was a member of Teamsters Union, Local 231. He had spent his entire life in Whatcom County. Surviving are his widow, Lola, at home, a son, Henry of Bellingham; a brother, Robert of Sedro Woolley, and a granddaughter. Services were held Thursday morning at 11 p.m. in the Bellingham Chapel of the Veroske Funeral Home.

NULLE, Richard W., 2921 Meridian St., died in a Mount Vernon hospital Thursday (Oct. 24, 1957) at the age of 72. Mr. Nulle had resided in Bellingham 30 years and Whatcom County since he was 2 years old. He was employed by Pacific American Fisheries as an outside superintendent, and had served the company 40 years locally and in Alaska. Mr. Nulle was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. H. E. Penhalurick will be in charge. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park under the direction of Kern Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Alice; a son, Don W. Nulle of Rt. 1, Mount Vernon; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Pride of Bellingham; a brother, Chris Nulle of Bellingham, and five grandchildren.

NUMA, Dorothy, age 79 of 1817 Knox, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, (1977). She was a 15 year resident of this community. There will be no funeral service. Cremation at Greenacres Memorial Park. Arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.

NUNAMAKER, Alice Jones, age 77, of 1115 W. North Street, passed away in a local hospital, Monday, January 2, (1950). Mrs. Nunamaker had been a resident of this community for the past 15 years and was a member of the Christian Church in Illinois. Surviving relatives are her husband, Clarence, at home; five sons, Everett G., at home; Homer, of Bellingham, Alex of Mattoon, Ill., and Joe and Clint, of Glacier; one daughter, Mrs. Frances Waters, of Sacramento, Calif., and 13 grandchildren. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth, where services will be conducted by the Rev. Daniel E. Taylor, Friday, January 6, at 1 p.m. Final resting place, Greenacres Memorial Park. NUNAMAKER, Clarence Alvin, age 93, of 1150 W. North St., passed away in a local hospital, Wednesday, Dec. 28, (1961). A resident of Bellingham for the past 37 years, Mr. Nunamaker had attended the First Christian Church. Survivors are four sons, Homer O., Clint G. and Joe P., all of Bellingham, and Alec of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Frances Waters of No. Hollywood, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Olive Lawyer of Greenup, Ill. NUNAMAKER, Clinton G., age 64, 3249 Greenwood Avenue, passed away at home Monday, February 11, (1963). Mr. Nunamaker had resided in this city for the past forty years and was employed by the Wallace Chevrolet Co. as a machinist prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Assumption Church; a twenty-five year member of the Musicians' Protective Union, Local No. 451; a twenty-five year member of the International Association of Machinists, Lodge No. 239, and a member of Bellingham Lodge B.P.O.E. No. 194. Survivors are his widow, Loretta M., at home; one son, Robert C., City; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Van De Riet, Great Falls, Montana; Mrs. Peggy Kuykendall, City; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Homer O. and Joseph P., both of this City; Alex of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; one sister, Mrs. Frances Waters, Sacramento, Calif., and numerous nieces and nephews. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home where Rosary will be recited by the Rev. Father John O'Connell Thursday, February 14 at 7:30 p.m. High Requiem Mass will be sung Friday, February 15 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Assumption.

NUNAMAKER, G. Everett, age 73, of 1115 W. North St., passed away in a local hospital, Wednesday, Dec. 7, (1960). A resident of Bellingham for the past 39 years, Mr. Nunamaker was a retired night operator at the Purification Plant at Whatcom Falls Park for the City Water Dep't. Survivors are his father, Clarence A., at home; four brothers, Homer O., Clint G., and Joe P., all of Bellingham, and Alec, of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Frances Waters, of No. Hollywood, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home where services will be conducted by the Rev. Fr. W. NUNAMAKER, Homer O., of 701 11th St., passed away at home Thursday, May 21, (1964). A 42-year resident of Bellingham, Mr. Nunamaker was a retired Grocer; was a former Washington State Senator; had served in the State House of Representatives for 18 years; was very active in the Democratic Party; was a former city councilman; was a member of the F.O.E., Aerie No. 31; was an honorary member of the Bellingham Police Dept. Survivors are his widow, Florence, at home; two brothers, Joseph P. of Bellingham and Alex of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Mrs. Frances Waters of Sacramento, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Fr. Robert Webb Tuesday, May 26 at 3 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home. Final resting place Greenacres Memorial Park.

NUNAMAKER, Lucille Mary of Bellingham, WA, passed away April 16, 1997 at home. She was born in Neoga, Illinois to Charles H. Parker, Sr. and Sarah L. (Cross) Parker. Lucille graduated from High School in Neoga, Ill. and married John "Bud" Nunamaker in Mattoon, Ill., Dec. 18, 1943. They came to Bellingham in 1945 where she worked as a wool presser in the dry cleaning industry. Mrs. Nunamaker was a member of the Church of the Assumption and enjoyed watching basketball, golf, baseball and football. She leaves to survive her beloved husband, John Nunamaker of Bellingham, WA and many nieces and nephews which she loved very much. NUNLEY, Janet "Nettie," age 84 of 27 21 Grant St., passed away Feb. 23, (1976). She had been a resident of this community for the past 60 years. NUNN, Clyde R., age 79, of 1509 E. Victor, died June 10, 1989. He was born February 15, 1910 in Pettigrew, AR. He was a retired pile driver, a longshoreman and retired from the Carpenter's Union. He is survived by his daughter, Rosetta Penn and husband, Jack of Bellingham; 6 step-grandchildren, and 13 step great grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted Tues. NYBACK, Carl A., age 82 years, of 2626 Humboldt St., passed away at a local hospital Sunday, Nov. 8, (1953) following a lingering illness. Mr. Nyback had resided in Bellingham for the pat 50 years and was a retired millworker. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Freda Leland of Seattle, Mrs. Esther Heller and Mrs. Huldah Sherman, both of this city; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two nephews, Axel and Victor Nelson, both of Sedro Woolley. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. within the Cathedral Chapel of the Westford-Beck Funeral Home, with Dr. N. C. Parsons officiating, followed by cremation.

NYBERG, Adolph T., age 70 years, of 3912 Silver Beach Avenue, passed away in a local hospital Friday, October 5, (1951). Mr. Nyberg leaves to survive him, one brother Charles, of Chicago, Ill. NYBERG, Ester Elvera, age 70, of 2724 Utter St., passed away at home Monday, November 3, (1958). Mrs. Nyberg had resided in the Seattle area from 1903 to 1952 and had resided in Bellingham for the past 6 years. NYDEGGER, Lola, 2100 I Street, passed away at a local hospital, Monday, April 7, (1947) after a brief illness. Mrs. Nydegger had been a resident of this community for the past twenty-one years and was a member of the Culinary and Waiter's Union. Surviving relatives are the husband, Mr. Arthur Nydegger; one son, Floyd B., of Bellingham; a daughter, Mrs. George Moon, Sedro-Woolley; her mother, Mrs. Carrie Johnson, Bellingham, and a brother, Harold Johnson, Bremerton; also four grandchildren. NYGAARD, Ann J. - A memorial service for Ann J. Nygaard of Bellingham will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. R. L. Christensen officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Nygaard died Monday, July 14, 1997, in Bellingham. Born April 2, 1913, to Karl and Maria Rysdahl Kjorvik Rygg in Minnesota, she moved to Blaine in 1959. She married the Rev. Ernst H. Nygaard on April 11, 1938. He died in 1981. Survivors include daughter Diane Williams of Bellingham, son Martin Nygaard of Seattle, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Arrangements are by Jones-Moles Funeral Home.

NYGAARD, Ernst H., Rev., age 78 of 2518 West Street, Bellingham died Saturday, February 28, 1981. He was born in Norway in a small town called Bjarkoy. He moved to Canada in 1929, to the Blaine area in 1959, and later to Bellingham in 1964. He was ordained in 1941 and was an Auxiliary Chaplin in the United States Navy during WWII. He served churches as their minister in Sitka, Alaska; Victoria & Nelson, B.C.; Sunnyside, Washington; Blaine; Sutton & Saronville, Nebraska. He was a present member of the Faith Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife Ann; a daughter, Diane Williams of Bellingham; a son, Martin Nygaard of Seattle; brothers, Arthur & Martin Nygaard & a sister Haldis Braland, all of Norway; numerous nieces & nephews; 3 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 3, 1981 at 2 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, Bishop Fjellman & Pastor Richard Christensen officiated. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. NYGARD, Lloyd Alfred, died Sunday, July 30, (1978) after a long illness. An Episcopal service was conducted in Mountain View, Calif. Dr. Nygard was born in San Francisco and grew up near Arlington, Wash. He was graduated from North Pacific Dental College in Portland, Ore. He practiced dentistry in American National Bank Building in South Bellingham for 10 years and in the Bellingham Herald Building for 36 years, and retired in 1972. He was a life time member of the American Dental Association, The Washington State Dental Association, and a former member of Mt. Baker District Dental Association. In 1975 Dr. Nygard moved to Mt. View Calif. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; daughter, Linda Miller of Los Altos, Calif.; son David Nygard of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Bernice Peterson of Seattle, Wash. and three grandsons.

NYGREN, Margaret O., age 88 of 1200 Birchwood, passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, (1976). She had been a resident since 1889. NYQUIST, Carl John, age 74, of 2100 D St., Bellingham, passed away in his home Friday, Sept. 8, (1961) following extended illness. He had been a resident of Whatcom County since 1907 and was a retired foreman and mill worker. He was a member of Mt. Baker Post 121 of American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Hassie at home; one son, Alvin of Lynden; one daughter, Carol Dawe of Bellingham; two sisters, Mrs. Enna Hendrickson and Mrs. Agnes Erickson, both of Bellingham; one brother, Knutt in Sweden. NYHUS, Clifford, age 62 of Route 1, Ferndale, passed away in a Bellingham hospital Friday July 5, (1963) following an extended illness. Mr. Nyhus had been a resident of the Ferndale Community for the past 16 years and attended the Ebenezar Lutheran Brethren Church. Survivors include his wife, Olive, 1 daughter, Mary Anne, 2 sons, Tom & Einar all of the family home, 1 brother Arthur in Formosa, 4 sisters, Mrs. Ida Hanson of Langley, B.C., Mrs. Elnora Thompson of Bellingham, Mrs. Jewel Erickson of Chicago and Mrs. Charlotte Hamblin of Ventura, Iowa, several nieces and nephews. NYHUS, Johnny, age 49 years, resident of Route 1, Blaine, for the past seven months, passed away at a local hospital, Tuesday, February 24, (1948). NYLAND, Gerrit, 88, died Friday (June 4, 1971) at his home in Lynden. A retired farmer, he was a member of Second Christian Reformed Church. Surviving are four sons, William and John of Lynden, Fred of Centralia and George of Davis, Calif.; three daugthers, Mrs. Art Korthuis and Mrs. Herman VanderMay of Lynden and Mrs. Lester Humphreys in California; a sister in Holland and 28 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. NYLAND, Willemina Johanna, age 74 years, of 610 Liberty Street, Lynden, passed away at a local rest home Friday, May 22, (1959). She had been a resident of the Lynden area since 1928 and was a member of the Third Christian Reformed Church. Survivors include her husband, Gerrit at home; four sons, William of Sumas, Frederick of Centralia, George of Davis, Calif., and John of Lynden; three daughters, Mrs. Bart Korthuis and Mrs. Herman VanderMay both of Lynden; and Mrs. Les Humphreys of Ripon, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Gesine Hoogers of Edmonton, Alberta; also 28 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. NYLEN, Karl Erick, age 14 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nylen, 3003 Cottonwood Avenue, this city, passed away as the result of an accident Monday, September 3, (1945). Karl was a student of Whatcom Junior High School, also a member of the band and was an attendant of the Birchwood Community Church. Surviving relatives aside from his mother, include one sister, Lois Marie, at home; grandmother, Mrs. Nylen, of Aberdeen, Wash., and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Strom, of this city. NYMAN, Olive S., 68, of 2723 Franklin St., passed away in a local hospital April 4, (1959). Mrs. Nyman had resided in Bellingham for the past 18 years and had attended the Baptist Church. NYMEYER, Hazel M., age 39 of Rt. No. 3, Lynden, passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, (1959). Mrs. Nymeyer had resided in Whatcom County her entire life and leaves to survive her husband, John at home; mother, Mrs. Freda Murphy, of Bellingham; one brother, Wendell Jacobson, of Lynden; one sister, Mrs. Bernice Brandt, of Bellingham; numerous nieces and nephews. NYMEYER, Janke, age 87, of 815 Liberty St., Lynden, passed away at her home Tuesday, Nov. 21, (1961) following a short illness. She had been a resident of Lynden since 1900 and was a member of the First Reformed Church. Surviving are four sons, Ben and Marinus, both of Lynden, Martin of San Bernardino, Calif., Rev. NYMEYER, Katherine, age 40, of Route 2, Lynden, passed away in a Bellingham rest home, Wednesday, Sept. 27, (1964) following a lingering illness. She had been a resident of the Lynden area since 1925 and had attended and graduated from the Meridian Schools. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Surviving are her husband, John; two sons, Jon DeBondt and Thomas DeBondt, both at home and one daughter, Beverly DeBondt at home; one brother, Henry Dium of Lynden; one sister, Mrs. Jacoba Elizabeth Wiley of Blaine; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dium of Bellingham. NYSTROM, Hanna M., age 78, of Rt. 4, Box 527, Bellingham, passed away at the family home Saturday, October 4, (1952). Mrs. Nystrom had resided here for the past 10 years and was a member of the Lutheran church. She leaves to survive, her husband, John Nystrom, at home; three sons, Alvin, of Darrington, Mandel, of Rt. 4, Bellingham, and Edwin Nystrom, of Yelm, Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Alina Larson, of Nashwauk, Minn., and Mrs. Helmie Burns, of Drain, Oregon; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Tilda West, of Finland; and Mrs. Anna Gregg, of Holmes, California. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. John Lunsford Tuesday, October 7 at 1:00 p.m. Final resting place, Bay View.

NYSTROM, Jacob "Jack" age 88 of 930 Newell Street, passed away in 4 local hospital Tuesday, February 15, (1955). Mr. Nystrom was a retired fisherman and had resided in this community for the past 53 years. Surviving relatives include four nephews, Sigurd Rundquist of Bellingham, Alfred and Manfred Rundquist of Seattle and Victor Nystrom of Longview, and one niece, Mrs. Joe Olson of Longview. NYSTROM, John, 71, of 1655 Britton Rd., passed away in a local hospital Friday, April 5, (1957). Mr. Nystrom had resided in this community for the past 17 years, was a retired farmer, and had attended the Silver Beach Community Church. Surviving relatives include three sons, Alvin of Ketchikan, Alaska, Mandel of this city, and Edwin of Yelm; two daughters, Mrs. Aline Larson of Nashwauk, Minn., and Mrs. Helmie Burns of Cottage Grove, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, William West of Anacortes. The remains rest at the Jones' Harlow-Hollingsworth Funeral Home where services will be conducted by the Rev. George Ackley Monday, April 8, at 1 p.m. Final resting place Bay View.
